The troopers lower their weapons and look at the soldiers. A soldier in front speaks.

"So you're basically saying you guys weren't actually involved? Then it looks like we could be on the same side. Let me radio the commander."


Without averting his eyes, the trooper pulls out his communicator and talks into it.


"Sir. It appears the missiles were fired by orders of their leader, who they believe is ill. We might be able to work together."


The commander lowers his communicator and looks into the eyes of the soldiers.


"Hear that? Looks like we're on the same side after all. If you don't mind, I'd like to rejoin the other half of my men so we can settle this thing together."



Peardian peers through the glass doors onto the balcony. Half the population of Smorgistan was standing in the square, and the other half was watching through three different live broadcasts.

"Here goes nothing..."


He strolls up to the podium and clears his throat as quietly as possible, which still manages to catch the microphone and ring through the air.


"People of Smorgistan..."an...an...an...

Freedonia military Hq. Tanks discusses the current situation.

"It seems that the weapons on the east coast were all hit. The Sanctuary can no longer use them. But that is a small issue not as much related to our current conversation.

Our WENs have been opened up to all nations participtaing in the war against the Sanctuary. This now includes the Maelstrom and it's bases and England Xp and it's bases. Our newest Death Egg modification is complete allowing for complete control of space as well as a much better space to earth weapons system. We've been working on Projects INFECT, DEGAUSSE, SLEEPER, and CLOCKWORK. These projects were hurried along due to the sudden threat of Total War. I will present these new plans before the Coalition immediatley."

*Sparks begin to fly from the front of the Death Egg as an electro magnetic feild is created. The feild is fired at the supposed coordinates of the Sacnctuary*

"Sir! Degausse has hit the selected Coordinates!"

"Let me check..."

*Tanks Peers out the window toward earth and sees large crackling blue sparks above the Ocean. In a few moments a Large moving landmass becomes visible among the rain of sparks*

"It worked! Deguasse negated the electromagnetic cloak! Alert all nations! Now is the time to fight back!"

An envelope arrives, addressed in a lopsided script to the leader of Arcadia. Inside is a letter, written with the same lopsided script:

"To whomever reads this:

"We are the people of the planet you refer to as 'the moon.' First of all, we would like to apologize if we have caused you any harm, and wish to let you know that if we did, it was unintentional.

"Secondly, we have one small request. We would appreciate if you could repair our planet to the best of your ability and return us to it. We do not mind if you or anyone else sets up a base there, but it causes us great trouble if you blow up our home.

"We apologize if this request is too much for you, and we would be content to remain anywhere you wish until you can fulfill our small request.

"Our continued apologies,

"Number One, Two, Three, Five, Six, Eleven, Twelve, Fourteen, Seventeen, Eighteen, Nineteen, et al."

Had anyone been nearby, they would have noticed the unusual scene of a very dusty-looking letter forcing itself into a mailbox, and making it all the way inside just as an azure beam of light passed by. Had they then looked at the letter, they would have noticed the lack of dust.

Sukasa was then flown and rocketed up to the Death Egg 2 with the Global Operations Center for the Alliance Against the Sanctuary.

"Ok. Then it's Probably Sukasa. Prepare a room for him and go on CODE RED alert. Sanctuary probably isn't to happy with the Degausse weapon and most likely won't hesitate to retaliate."

A few moments later in the docking bay.

"Sukasa. Good to see you. Welcome to the Death Egg. You may proceed to set up the GOC whenever you like but I warn you it is unsafe to be here. We have set things up for a possible extended stay for you but I suggest you heed my warning."

After getting construction started on the GOC and viewing the SLEEPER and INFECT projects, Sukasa was meeting with Tanks in his office onboard the D.E. 2.

"Well, I like the projects, but I don't think your data links could handle the immense bandwidth requirements. I have an idea. The Innerpeace data servers have immense transfer rates, because one of their main functions is to provide computer hacking support for cyberwar. I think that a remote control system tied into the GOC and running on Innerpeace servers could improve INFECT's abilities severalfold. SLEEPER, however, seems unimprovable."

"What is it?"

*NightKev is handed the letter

"You...you're kidding me. Damn it...is the temporal displacement generator ready for testing?"

VP: "Well...yes, but why?"

"We're going to use it to save the life forms, then we're going to transport them back to the moon and create a shield for them to live in. That way there will be no more interaction between them and us."

VP: "But then Sanctuary will know-"

"I won't harm innocent beings. Activate the generator and get everything ready."

VP: "Aye, sir..."

Soon after, time is reversed over in Smorgistan and the aliens are revived, in a sense. Then they are transported to the moon and placed into a protective field, along with any others that were already on the moon.

Down on the planet, Sukasa's advisor, his on-planet standin, ordered that full efforts were to go towards a system for nullifying energy weapons and organized a task force to incorporate this, MEDUSA, and a modified GENESIS reactor to power every nod ein the array.

Too bad one of the scientists on the task force was in the pay of the sanctuary.

VP: "Sir, Freedonia reports that they need deflector technology to protect the Death Egg."

"Send them the specs on the MSDC-02 and tell them how to modify it for static deployment."

VP: "Aye, sir. Also, it seems there was an act of sabotage."

"What? But so far everything has been running smoothly."

VP: "This was earlier in the week, when one of our missiles veered off and almost crashed into Sanctuary."

"You mean that wasn't just a malfunction?"

VP: "Indeed it wasn't. Someone sent an encrypted data stream to the missile which altered its target coordinates. From the level of sophistication of the encryption, it seems only the Maelstrom or Sanctuary could have sent it at the time."

"This is rather alarming. Where did the signal originate from?"

VP: "Unknown, sir."

"So we don't know definitively who sent the message, just that it could only have been one of the two nations that we were, and are, at war with? And we also don't know where it came from either?"

VP: "Exactly."

"Well that's not good. Could there be spies in any of the other countries?"

VP: "It is unknown at this time, although we are attempting to locate any possible spies."

"Hmm...double security measures and add extra layers of encryption to all messages. Alert the rest of the Coalition as well."

VP: "Aye, sir."

tyty210 came to in a darkened room, tied up on a chair....

He came to the conclusion he was tied up with simple ropes.

He pointed his finger at them and burned them up... luckily he still had the chaos emeralds with him, but they took his weapons and his radio.

"I wonder what is oing on.... Maybe if I can FIND A MAP "

The now uncloaked hedgehog started looking around the room for an exit. He saw a screen with a map on it...

"What the hell?!?!? Where is my half of that land!??!?!? Did someone take over!? ugh... Where am I anyways?"
