Well, that should be everything installed again. Hopefully I didn't miss something that I'll need in a pinch later and have to install it then.

One of my smaller Christmas presents (a "stocking stuffer", if you will) was one of those "pocket puzzles" thingies, where you have a bunch of little wooden pieces that you have to combine to form some kind of geometric arrangement (in this case a cube)... and I have conquered it. Now I feel greatly achieved.

Commodore would've never done such a thing like Windows Genuine Advantage... even Apple puts locks on Snow Leopard (but they've been cracked for operation on non-Macs, and I don't think SL has a CD key or anything)

If you took Psych last semester, leave because this is a review.

If you didn't, I'm going to compress everything into 90 minutes.

don't reinstall your os!

just go in and uninstall update KB971033 - it fixes it I had the same problem a bit ago and uninstalling that along with a couple reboots fixed me up and it's been months since then with no message!

Completely aced my Biology exam and I managed to leave about 15 minutes early

I also got a epic new set of speakers. 2.1 stereo and the bass on the subwoofer is immense

Awesome! I'm taking Biology myself, but college has been canceled the last two days because of a snowstorm. I'm trying to use the extra time to study, but sometimes it's hard not to get distracted...

Hell, I hate it when my non-work computer does it- 99.9999999999% of the time the update can wait until restarting is convenient.

Haven't been pestered for an update-related restart in a while, actually

Ours are forced on us at work. The IT department pushes them to our PCs overnight if there are any pertinent security updates so we come back and get the message when we log on.

I closed out my account at a local bank and moved it all over to Bank of America... I'm conflicted, on one hand I had to do it for convenience (the local bank only has local branches) and what-not (the local bank still uses "passbook" accounts so I can't even check the balance without going in), but I really don't like BoA much either from a corporate perspective...

The bank I had my savings in before I was 18, which I will call the First National Bank of Redneckistan, also had passbook accounts. In the old days, if you lost your passbook, you lost all the money that was in your account, although I think they have stuff on computers now.

When I moved, I needed a bank that exists in both Detroit and Seattle. There aren't many.

Don't assume an old person driving knows where they are going. They don't. That is why the don't use blinkers because they can't decide which way to go up until the moment they are making a turn.

I don't know why you're assuming someone who doesn't use blinkers must be old, here in MA no one uses blinkers regardless of age.
