That would be right, actually. The lighter areas weren't in the original tileset, but I figured it would be a good idea to rip them in and create more level possibilities.

I still wonder what I'll do with the cave tileset, especially considering one looks so close to SMW that I'd might as well use the original.

The leaves are in the foreground.

Didn't the Wario Land II/III Cave tilesets look pretty distinct compared to the mario ones? Or is my memory failing me?

WL2 and 3 did have unique ones, but the first one has a tileset that's practically a downgraded version of SMW's.

I guess I could grab at WL2's, seeing as its graphical style isn't too vastly different...

I realized that I haven't really showed my hack off here that often. Well I post my latest level and if you want to see more of my levels, then you can always subscribe to my YouTube account.

<object width="640" height="505"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/JuOYKhiwIQk?fs=1&hl=en_US&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="505"></embed></object>

(Copy and pasted of the SM64 hacking thread) I decided to scrap working on a direct rip of this level and just stuck with making my own version. My hack is going well but I'm not ready to give up making new levels.

I've made 6 levels so far, that's 42 stars, I also made 4 sub-worlds (including my HUB) that bring my star total up to about 50 stars. But like I said, I'm still not giving up creating new fresh levels so expect a lot more of me.

My WIP of a new NSMB ice tileset; I have added as extra decoration a smb1 style goomba that acts like a normal block and a spiny, that acts the same as upward spikes. I might be adding a cheep cheep and a koopa...

Also, I will try to put a new background, instead of the clouds.

Some more screenshots of the Kid Icarus hack I'm playing with... the graphics aren't finished, but the level layouts for 1-1 through 1-3 are all complete and playable...

Back to OZMAV2 after all the actor viewing in ZSaten...

Now OZMAV2 has a small, on-screen actor editing dialog instead of the text-based libMISAKA dialog box, which also shows changes to the actor's properties like type or position in real time (as long as supported by OZMAV2, so no variables or anything fancy yet). Also - what I just finished putting together - said dialog actually shows up relative to the actor's position, instead of ex. in the corner of the window. The latter is how it was previously, but this is, uh, cooler I guess?

Edit: Another useless little gadget related to the "actor tooltips" above - now with more fade-out!

Amazing work as always xdaniel . I was wondering if I can get a few opinions on this level:
<object width="480" height="385"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/2kM2gMJ0pwQ?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

I'm still deciding on whether or not I should include this level in my hack. The object placement is still not final if this level will be my hack. Opinions will be helpful

Well, don't take too much into my opinions since I don't know much about SM64 hacking and the limitations and such... but comparing that to the SM64 levels, it definitely seems like you could use more objects- the level looks a little "empty" right now. But if the object placement isn't final I'll say no more about that.

The only other things I can see is that maybe think about the textures on those white stone areas, right now it's a little difficult to tell what is the side of the ledge and what is the top. (Again, have never tried my hand at SM64, so I don't know if you can fix that or not)

Overall though I rather like it... maybe there's a little too much back-and-forth wall-jumping? (objects could fix that, perhaps)

Pit ventures into the Overworld! Which has redeveloped.

The palette of this enemy shows up wrong in Pit Stop, because it's using Pit's palette and I am overpowered... but I used similar treasure chests elsewhere that use Pit's palette, so the general look is the same- only these ones eat your items.

The upside-down fire replaces the pots that spawn snakes. (To me that didn't look right, since the snakes appear on top of the pot and then fall- Myths and Monsters did it better)

Fitting the slimes into the palette doesn't work well- might just scrap them and try something different.

Looks nice, except that area above the ramp in the bottom left with the blocks.

If mario ran up that into the > corner, he'd die.
