I have a habit of adding and reducing numbers in my head as I see them, especially when driving. This scares the shit out of me when I think about it, so I never do.
Example being and address of 7742 is 2. (7+7=14, 4+2=6. 1+4=5. 6+5= 11. 1+1=2) |

If I can't sleep, I'll stare up at the clock and try to get the numbers in an equation. Like 2:35, 2+3=5. I also have the uncanny ability to look at a clock as it reads 13:37 and 17:01.

I do notice 9:11, 13:37 and 11:11 a lot on the clock, which is pretty freaky sometimes. I remember a while ago I looked at my clock exactly at 9:11 for about three days in a row (not intentionally!) |

As some of you may already be aware, the number 744, or variations like 7:44 or 7.44, seem to haunt me. Of course, when you are actively looking out for it it seems to show up a lot more often, but for a while it seemed to be more than a coincidence.

This is called confirmation bias, you don't often remember if you look at the clock at like, 5:21, but you do remember wacky numbers like 9:11, 11:34, or 13:37. Thus, you think you are doomed/evil/elite. You are normal!

I've actually made a habit out of that, and when I -do- use my fingers to count, I naturally use binary.

Mmm, if I catch them with ease I do, but I usually make them myself.
Case in point, my exercise routine on the ski machine thingy. My sets consist of starting at 200 calories burned (according to the meter), and then as I continue, I decrease 25 from each set until I'm finished.

I tend to look for the number 9 in things... for some reason I've always liked that particular number. I remember being all happy when I added up all the numbers of one of my combination locks and the last digit was a 9. (Though that lock ended up having to be cut, so maybe that wasn't a good sign after all... )

I have always been particularly fond of the number seven, but I didn't really start making note of it when I had nothing better to do until I got into the Marathon Trilogy.
What does a set of old Macintosh first person shooters have to do with the number seven, you ask? Well... |

Ever since I first read The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, I've had a tendency to see the number 42 just about everywhere. Same goes for Homestuck and the numbers 413, 612, and 1025.
