I totally suck at drawing, but I'm trying to see if I can force myself to make this post...

I've had a post-phobia lately. I keep typing things up and then hitting the back button without submitting (everywhere I go, not just here). Thought if I could actually post the most embarrassing thing I could think to post, that'd be a step in the right direction.

It's clearly a case of the worst-critic thing.

Your art really isn't that bad. It's not the best, and it's not amazing, but it's definitely not bad. At worst, it's average.

You aren't the only one with that issue though, rest assured

You're at least doing a hell of a lot better than I am, FO.

Keep up the good work though! I say we should both work on our art together! Get a deviantArt! :3

If I registered a DeviantArt account, I can pretty much guarantee it's something I'd update once or twice and then abandon for all eternity. It's much easier for me to use my own site for posting stuff. The only problem is that my scrapbooks are an ungodly mess right now, and I don't have time or motivation to go through and clean them all up.

And my post-phobia is still not going away. This is the third time I've typed up this reply. The last two times, I hit the back button before submitting... I'm gonna force myself to send this one through...

Fair enough.

Though don't worry about your post-phobia. We're all good folk here, okay? We're not going to make fun of you or anything. o.o

I know. I'm not worried about being made fun of. I've been having this problem everywhere, and a very particular incident involving a long-time friend set it off, though that's another story for perhaps another time.

I don't have that problem, but I also suck at drawing.

As for my written works, they only interest a niche audience, so I don't bother posting about them much.

I think my post-phobia is gone, BTW, but on the other hand, I've become a complete introvert IRL. Ever since I got hired permanently from my temp job, I've dropped all pretenses and don't even try to socialize anymore. I just don't have enough in common with the people around me.

You have enough in common with us.

By the way, got any new doodles lately, FO? I'd love to see 'em. ^.^

I don't have anything recent that's ready yet, but I can post a few of my favorite things I've done in the past few years:

This is almost my entire cast of characters.

I think my stuff has a tendency to look more screwed-up out of context than most things I can think of. There are at least four different in-jokes represented by that picture, but I kind of like how the Moonbuggy turned out.

I kind of think that turned out okay.

I sometimes use a colorized version of this for an avatar.

This is one of my top favorite things I've drawn in recent years, but unfortunately it was far too big to scan, so I had to crop parts of it and it doesn't look as good on the internet as it does IRL.

Dude. I really your style.

Your perspective seems a little off in places (the moon buggy in particular), but everything else is great. You totally do not suck.

There's a lot that's off in places, but... blegh. Thanks. I'm really, really lucky when things turn out halfway decent. I'm even luckier that I'm able to coast more on my writing than my drawing skills.
