I liked the sea ... It gave the region more diversity (that and the volcano and I think there was a desert, too?)

Kanto was very repetitive and Johto was too small ... Sinnoh was nice, I guess.

Average early two-stage normal-type this time around is Minezumi, it's this little meerkat/chipmunk thing. It's cute, and not as derpy looking as Bidoof thankfully.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who hacked/bought coins for the slots instead of playing the slots simply because it seemed like the more efficient thing to do.

Also the fact that I don't enjoy those terrible things doesn't help. ;

I hate both the slots and Voltorb Flip.

I think it got old since four generations ago. I mean, the whole point was to exploit it just to get that Porygon.
I don't know how, but if there's a method to get 100% 15 coin wins (which I just keep going for long enough to get an early Dratini), there should be one to get always 700 coin wins or something to make getting the Porygon realistic and not a huge bother like it is in the later games.

I have Plantium, and I wtf'd when I realized you had to get the bonus round 10 times in a row in order to get the explosion TM. You can't even just pay for coins, you have to actually play the slots.

Lousy goddamn stupid slot machines.
