"A horrible person". That's what it says. "A horrible person."

We weren't even testing for that.

MMX is a new processor instruction set introduced by Intel in their Pentium line of processors in 1996. MMX, commonly thought to be standing for "Multimedia Extensions", allowed for many more powerful actions to be performed on the processor. Today, MMX is mainly made obsolete by the newer SSE.

Speaking of MMX, how many X's in acronyms actually stand for a word that begins with X, rather than ex-, cross-, trans-, Christ-, etc.?

I once had a Pentium with MMX. But I never had a Pentium without it, so I can't say whether it was worthwhile or not.

#58
This whole decade can be about Megaman X, even ... first the series as a whole, then MMXI would be Megaman X (1), MMXII would be Megaman X2, and so on until MMXIX, if there's no Megaman X9 by then ... or MMX could also be Megaman 10

Too bad there was no MMX2 and such for CPU's, unlike SSE2 to SSE5

As of SSE2, SSE can do everything MMX can do but better. (There may be exceptions on certain Intel CPUs, since Intel has done some really strange things.)

Personally, I found the MMX series was infinitely better than the classic, then the Z series expanded on MMX'S gameplay, and then the ZX series expanded on MMZ's gameplay... they of course took a leap back by not warping you to where your missions start, though. I guess they were trying to make it some type of castletroid deal.. Dunno!

Yeah.. sequels tend to blow. Although, ironically, the Megaman series does just fine, and were it not for a sequel to Megaman 1, we likely wouldn't have much of a series. Since... you'd need more than one game for it to become a series, after all.

I seem to recall ZXA doing a better job than ZX in that regard, though...

I wonder why they never made a third Megaman ZX game.

They did, Imajin! A ZX3 would be great but we're even gonna have MML3 before that happens

Sadly, I've got to agree with mistah_jminator_salvation. A ZX3 looks like it .. won't happen. Honestly, the future of the MM series in general is kind of weird to imagine without Inafune around. Why did he leave us :<
