Hah! I just can't BELIEVE that this never got over to us in 15 years. You'd think one of the fans in Japan would have told someone, or something! This player's guide has a lot of interviews that we previously had no idea existed, and more Toriyama sketches. Best possible case, it'll be like a Dead Sea scroll or something for CT's development. I can't wait to get this integrated to the Compendium's translation to-do list and get all the scans and all that thrown up on megaupload. Edit: Aw, the MySQL chose a really fantastic time to freeze up on us. Site's down for a little.

Nice find... too bad nothing of it still seems to exist in the game, except *very* possibly, albeit unlikely, that glitch in the prototype that attempts to stick him in the team and gives you a weird sprite in the prehistoric overworld. That said... I need to get back to that CT prototype TCRF page, although I'm pretty sure I got all the big stuff with the exception of enemies and objects that are in the game, but not accessible... Might be more subtle differences in areas. Hm. Oh, and just for the record... I didn't actually take anything on TCRF from Chrono Compendium. I used that site as a resource (and a damned useful one, at that), but I picked through the prototype personally. One surprise was that there's a larger and structurally different "Future Leene Square" in the prototype, which I never actually saw mentioned on Chrono Compendium... maybe I just missed it?

I'm glad this found was found out =P It also makes sense, because while the unused overworld sprites in the Pre don't highly resemble him, they do if you squint your eyes a little =P Wonder how he would've been implemented...?
