There's no reason to block Project Wonderful ads anywhere; unlike most ads, Project Wonderful doesn't use tracking cookies or Flash or Web Storage.

I have Adblock Plus but I disable it on a couple of sites where I'd feel bad blocking the ads.

Jul is one example.

I sometimes get annoyed when some ad server is down or slow and it suspends the loading of the rest of the page

Other than that, simple ads don't bother me. Rollover and voice ads can die in a fire, though.

That's why I have AdBlock Plus set up to block all sites; I selectively remove ones who deserve my support or where disabling ads hampers with viewing the site (and not in an "Oh, you have AdBlock? GTFO" way).
