Hi, yes i again xD
I found the Beta Kick, in the data ---->root---->player---->pl_ttl_LZ.bin
I copied the Hex code into the pl_mario_LZ.bin data
In the intro, you can see the kick and some other weird stuff. But the Intro never ends xD And when you play, mario goes like in the beta video. Now a question to all good hackers. Is it possible, to put the kick into the normal player data?
Here's a video:

that's not the first time i've seen the beta kick in the game. it's hard to demonstrate but when i was first experimenting with nsmb hacking i put a enemy in pipe generator right next to a small 1X1 hole in the ground, so all the goombas were walking around in the same spot. so when mario jumped on all of them at once, he rebounded he did a mid-air kick just like that for no reason.

I know, but this looks different. See this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WT2WAE4JdJ8&feature=related
At second 28 Mario makes the kick and its the same like in my video. And when you have a saveslot, and play with mario, mario goes like in the beta trailer, too.
Heres a screenshot. There is a small difference.

From playing the game I've seen mario doing this kick a few times. It's not an accident from Nintendo's part.

funnily enough, i noticed the kick while i was creating a level for hiccup's and my beta replica.

anyway, now that we know the beta kick is in the game, does anyone think it will be possible to hack it into the 1-player game, say when you press A or X?

I just had another thought, if the kick is still there, maybe the punch is too.

btw Happy New Year everybody, in Australia, it's 2011 already.

I dont know anything about hex. But perhaps, you must copie the/these line/lines into the normal player data, which are for the kick?

i would have no idea how to do that, but i have an idea.

so if the run buttons are Y and X, and the Jump Buttons are B and A, It could be possible to change the behaviour so that when A or X is pressed, Mario does the kick instead of a run/jump. So I assume, what we would need to know is where in the rom is the commands for the A.B.X and Y buttons, and then copy the kick into one of the buttons.

(thinking)
if we are going to try it ourselves, i think the first step would be to find the animations for run and jump, and figure out how they were used in the rom. if the kick is in data>root>player then it is more than likely the jump and run (and possibly even punch) is too, but what would they be named? i will browse later...
