I just wish both those things ever became tangentially related.

Also, protips for those not in with this: Serious Inc., is kind of like board2, from what I've heard. Except filled with dicks and/or trolls. At least their new iteration of their board seems inactive.

Eh, mega-mergers do end up going horribly wrong sometimes. (For example, AOL Time Warner)

That's more mismanagement, I'd think. AOL already had a pretty bad downhill momentum, due to poor business, and it probably continued on after Time Warner sucked them in. They likely didn't think about the future or made any useful plans and continued doing whatever they were doing, probably because it was cheaper at the time to do what they were doing, but they bet too low and fucked themselves over with it.

On topic about the commercial, I can't recall if I was terribly interested in it. I suppose to some extent, since that kind of technical stuff interests me, but I'm more obsessed with computers and electronics than large machines, like trains. I probably had thought about wanting it, but people I lived with were cheap, and buying stuff on TV is a bit funky, even then.
