Well it'x only be fair to. And to type at normal speed ooo, because everything else, like hunting and pecking, is not approved by me.

You don't have to type at normal speed, I guess, but just...K dunno...just do it anyway?

As a kid, I'd be amasied ay my dad's ty[ing skills. I just hunted and pecked and je could use all of his finetes/

Hmmm, not so bad, I guess. I'm pretty slow when I don't look st the keysm, thogh.

I never look at my keyboard while typing, that way Ican see mistakes and correct them before I continue typing. Of course, I can't do that in this thread :s i STILL don't make that many typos ...

My high school once had a typing contest, whoever could type the most words with the least typos would win... I was in 10th grade and I beat all the seniors to win first place We weren't allowed to look at the keyboard or the monitor.

It's really hard for me not to correc ttypes because I do it atuomatically as a type. But I can see now that I make quite a few. Whats funny is that when I do those WPM typing programs on the web I don't get nearly as many typoes.

I don't really have this problem everyone else has. I am not perfect but I can type 90 WPM without looking at the keyboard. Of course I'd make a few more typos that way, but...

...

Of course, let's hope this doesn't become annother annoying meme.

I have to be looking at the keybard when I am typing these becasue whenever i make a typo, which is pretty often, i automaticly hit backspace a few times. i only look up when i have already submitted it.

Even if I'm not looking at the screen, there's a high chance I know I made a ty[p and I will automatically press backspace.

This is indeed harder than it seems if you type like you usually do (unless you usually type slowly )

Now if you all excuse me, I have Pokemon to chain.

I don't have to look at the keys when I tyop but I get a lot of typos no matter what. Backspaing is just part of my routine so I have to help myself to not hit with w for this thread. Its really hard...

It's a pretty good challenge. This time, I just decided not to look at the keyboard and pay more attention to Scott Pilgrim. Let's see how I do!

...Shit, I totally didn't make a typo. Wow.

I've heard it said that typing on "full-size" keyboards should be easier than using a laptop keyboard, but I've never really noticed much of a difference... though my laptop is fairly large as it is (~14"), I suppose if I was using smething like an eeePC or whatever I might be saying something different.

Usually, my trouble with laptop keyboards is getting used to the positioning of keys, like Insert, Home, End, and Delete. Each laptop manufacturer seems to put them in a different place.

The worst is when there's FN or something where Left Control should be. I keep hitting key combinations like FN-S and FN-V by mistake.

The worst keyboard I've used is the aformentioned eePC, which has the right shift the size of a single key to accomodate a dull-sized directional pad... so I end up hitting up instead of hittin gshift, and so everything kind of getts screwed up.

>>ESTABLISHING LINK...DONE.    >>FETCHING POST DATA...DONE.    >>EXECUTING POSTDISP.BIN...

I'm bad at adapting to different keyboards; especially laptop ones. I'm currently typing as lslow as possible to avoid making istakes, but that odoesn't work all too well. A problem unrelated to specific keyboards is how I tend to start a work with the wrong letter, see the "lslow" and "odoesn't" before. That only just occured to me, while participating in this weird thread, typign this post.

Anyway, I wonder how it was back when I went from C64 to Amiga to PC. Of course, I was ways lower in typing tback then, so I guess it was amatter of finding the key anwe for "hunt an d peck". ALso the Amiga keyboard wasN#t as different to the PC's as the C64's was, so yeah...

Oh, and this post was typed using a loaptop keyboard, proving my initial statement that I basically suck at adapting to keyboard types.

(And ewww, this loosk awfuil )

EDIT: And this is despite having had this very same laptpo for over a year now

I'm pretty good at typing without looking at the keyboard, but not without doing any typos ... although I'm fine so far Maybe because I'm going a bit slower than usual ...

And that's on my usual desktop keyboard, I'm not as good with laptops and even worse on cellphones or anything else, but I have none of that anyway

I usually make a bunch of misakes in my posts and then go back and correct them all once I've finished typing (I'm also good at reading through a post after I've already submitted it and finding typos that I then need to fix through editing). A lot of times my fingers accidentlly hit more than one ket so I need to go back and remove any extras letters that I may have added. Sometimes I even go back an rewrite parts of my post if I don't like the way that things sound/

So haves anyone read my long ass post, yet?

It's quite rambling and probably boring as hel. I was a bit tired, though. Now I am more awake so I am not so bad. When I'm tired, I can go on about stuff for far too long, sometimes.
