Hello, I'm new to this forum and I made this account just to post this. Recently I started to mess around with the Mega Man/Rockman X6 Prototype that was released a few(?) months ago and found a code that allows to enter to any stage of the game, including the ones past the Nightmare Investigators stages.
I would really like to contribute with the Mega Man X6 page but my english is very sucky (it took me like 2 hours to write this post, with spelling errors and all) so I'm posting the code here to see if somebody is interested in finding some differences in these stages with their finished counterparts.
Well, the code is here (Sorry if it was already known, but I didn't find anything like this on the web):
Stage Selection Code: 800CFDD4 00XX
(Activate the code in the stage select screen, if the code is activated anywhere else it can cause CRAZY STUFF).
Replace XX with:
00 - Intro Stage
01 - Commander Yanmark
02 - Blizzard Wolfgang
03 - Blaze Heatnix
04 - Metal Shark Player
05 - Ground Scaravich
06 - Rainy Turtloid
07 - Shield Sheldon
08 - Infinity Mijinion
09 to 0B - Game Crashes
0C + Sigma Stage (Final)
* This stage is REALLY incomplete.
0D to 10 - Game Crashes
11 + Gate's Lab Stage 2 Part 1
12 + Gate's Lab Stage 2 Part 2
13 - Commander Yanmark ("Secret" Area)
14 - Blaze Heatnix ("Secret" Area)
15 - Ground Scaravich ("Secret" Area)
16 - Shield Sheldon ("Secret" Area)
Beyond 17 - Game Crashes
Something strange is that I wasn't able to find the ID for the other "secret" areas like if they weren't in the game, for example, I couldn't find the code to access to the Infinity Mijinion secret area, but, that area is reachable in the game by normal means. |

| I don't know anything about Mega Man, but your English is nearly flawless, far better than some native speakers I've seen. Don't sweat it, feel free to edit the wiki, and welcome to Jul. If there are errors, we can always fix it later. =) |

Do you think so? Thanks, maybe my problem is that I'm a bit slow formulating sentences in english, anyways, I'll add some info to the wiki when I have time.
And, for those interested in the code, here are the rest of them:
113 - Blizzard Wolfgang ("Secret" Area)
114 - Metal Shark Player ("Secret" Area)
115 - Rainy Turtloid ("Secret" Area)
116 - Infinity Mijinion ("Secret" Area) |

There might be, there might not be. It's hard to tell with a beta. It could be as simple as something not loading correctly. I think some digging around is in order for this one.

The only stages that load are the two first parts of the second Gate Lab stages (the part where you fight High Max and the part where you go through a passage to enter a portal at the end) and the final Sigma stage but if you look at the VRAM when the game tries to load the the first Gate Lab stage through the stage select screen (before the game crashes) you can see that some objects belonging to that stage are already loaded in, for example, all the non-boss enemies and some background/foreground tiles of the stage, maybe there is a way to make it to load properly.
Wow, I wrote the word "stage" (<- without counting this one) 7 times in this post. |
