I saw it on Tuesday and it was so freakin' awesome As soon as I saw the Recognisers, I was hooked. And the discs and light-cycle scenes were epic. I was a bit annoyed about how the entire thing wasn't entirely in 3D, considering that's what we paid for, but the movie more than makes up with that. I especially love how the mountains look natural, then as you get closer, you realise they're all made of straight edges. The entire thing was pulled off perfectly and the soundtrack (which we have) was amazing. Can't wait for it on Blu-Ray.

I had only heard real bad things before now, but I think I might have to give this movie a chance.

Very stylish movie yet the pacing was off and so was some of the actors' lines.

it's weird to have a fraction in a fraction.

Anyway, I saw the movie a few days ago. For what it was I enjoyed it, but I prefer the old one better. The new one was too serious, whereas the old one was pretty much just some guys playing video games. :p Also, the old one made a better effort to make their actions more believably analogous to actual computer operations. That's just nitpicking, though. The biggest thing that limited my enjoyment is that it, like almost every movie nowadays that isn't a retarded comedy, is far too dark and serious. and yeah the 1-liners were too much.

Expendables. Neither a comedy nor serious. Just awesome actions starts being awesome all over each other's faces.

I was watching this a few days ago IN 3D! :specialed:

I was not planning on seeing it in 3D as I have heard it's kinda not used much/good (which I agree with) but they where only showing it on smaller screens without 3D so I ended up going 3D anyway as I wanted to see it on the biggest screen. I'm sorta vexed about watching movies this way at all, and if I am to do it I want it to be on as big screen as possible so I get the best experience possible.

Anyhow, the movie was quite good but a bit slow phased at certain parts. But the most vexing part for me was how the Swedish subtitles kept saying "internet" when they where saying to "the grid". I know it's not a big deal for most people, but I find mistranslations like that horrible! Which is why I always use English subtitles but the cinemas don't agree and use Swedish subtitles for everything. :/
(not to mention The grid is anything BUT on the internet, as it seams to be a closed network.)

I can't really compare it to the first Tron as it was sooooo long ago since I saw it that I don't remember shit about it. (I was like, six or something.) But I do think the movie was overall quite good. :3

I saw it. I thought it was pretty decent, but there were some thing I did not like about it. Such as it was not funny enough; I remember little about the original Tron, but I do remember that it did not take itself to seriously. Also, there seemed to be a few characters and ideas that were thought up, implemented, but then just failed on the follow through, but I don't want to name anything in case it spoils it for some people.

For your first point, I thought the same exactly. Too dark and serious. But that's the general way of things nowadays for all movies; too dark and serious. Like the old Batmans (not Forever or and Robin, those were just retarded. :p) and the new Batmans. The original ones were serious but not so much as the recent ones. The recent ones were certainly well done, but I like the way the original ones feel better.

The '60's Batman movie is my favorite. Adam West will always be the real Batman in my heart.
