They aren't too bad. I personally like the Coconut and Pineapple varieties best, but I haven't bothered looking for those in the states (I tried both while in Japan)...they aren't half bad, pretty addictive I guess and I actually kinda like em as the occasional snack treat. They're also unfortunately like the weeaboo lifeblood from what I can tell ;x but that's just the plain ol' chocolate/strawberry ones.

It's not that great. I like the ones with crushed almond on 'em, though.

One time when I went to an anime expo I pretty much lived on Pocky for three days straight. After seeing how long the line was for the only near by food stand I just bought a whole bunch of packs of Pocky and enjoyed .

I would love them if they weren't so expensive for a box with just ten or so of them.

Surely enough in places where they aren't retardedly marketed it's good.

they're quite commonplace in asian grocery stores where they probably aren't all that expensive, but then again I don't really buy it that often so I wouldn't know for sure ;x if I'm gonna buy an asian snack it would probably be Pie no Mi...mini chocolate pies, tasty and probably really bad for you ;x

Here in NYC they can usually be had for two bucks a box.
They used to be available in Duane Reade (a local convenience store chain) under the Lu brand, but that seems to have disappeared.

I've oddly gotten Lu brand cookies for Christmas. I trust they are a good brand, because there is only one or two raspberry filled cookies and about half of the white chocolate cookies left.

I can therefore assume that Lu brand pocky is very good.

There's entire heaping displays of them here at my community college, priced at dirt cheap.

They don't really register as much to me though, so it's wasted on me.

At one of the anime conventions I went to, a girl had a box of Pocky on a fishing pole really high up and was offering to give it to anyone who could grab it. People were trying.

$3.99 for how big of a box? The box with two packets in it goes for no more than $2.50 around here.

Four packs. I still have one left.

It's coconut/chocolate.

Never tried it. I suppose it's good, but most of this kind of stuff is too expensive for what it's worth, and there are plenty of other, fairly priced snacks. Not that I really know where any of this is available, for expensive or cheap.

Let's see.
A lot of the talk of cost makes me chuckle honestly.

Here we've got:
Walmart which sells it for 2 USD/box of two packets
Safeway which sells it for 4 USD/box of two packets
Then the Asian Marked which sells more options for maybe 50usc~1USD/box of two packs.

The market sells glico and everything else around the same prices, but they also have bulk packs which fly off the shelves. Otaku everywhere!

Ugh its true though. Whenever I go to asian grocery stores, there's always and without fail weeaboos buying out all the Pocky and such in sight. In fact, some times I even see them buying things they could get in a normal grocery store for much cheaper but obviously its much cooler to buy the omgjapanese version instead. Yeah, I can get produce and meat from a regular freaking grocery store, thanks ;x and it doesn't cost me a kajillion dollars because its been imported and tastes exactly the same. never really understood that. Its one thing if its like, for convenience (I've purchased Japanese dish soap once just because it would have saved me a second trip to another store) but that's usually not the case...
