Well Stadium Events is kind of a special case- if someone wants the content in the game, they can just buy World Class Track Meet... Whereas with a proto whose dump isn't publicly available, I guess having access to content no one else does is part of the value.

I wanna say the reason Stadium Events is so rare is that apparently it was only sold in some Walgreen's in like...I wanna say Minnesota or something?

Don't quote me on that though, I don't remember who told me that, so I can't say if it's reliable info or not.

Squeenix had gone and pulled all copies off the shelves but there was ONE COPY AT BEST BUY last Wednesday.

It was pure luck.

Also, googling around I find sites claiming that Dawn of Sorrow (which I also own) may also be a rare game? Interesting...

I didn't know Tetris DS was rare ... I also have it.

As of July 25, 2007, Tetris DS had sold 2.05 million copies worldwide. Tetris DS is currently out of print.


Ahh, then it is somewhat rare, I guess.

I remember I bought it used (was lucky to get a copy with box and manual) at GameStop and thinking it was still rather expensive for a used game, though I didn't think much of it at the time.

The rarest video game I own is Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time: Master Quest for Gamecube.

Last I checked, it's worth $110 on Amazon.

Well, I mean, we're talking entirely different orders of magnitude of rarity here... I mean, it's probably going to be awhile before one can really call any DS game (except for maybe special cases) "rare" in the same sense of an NES game might be, just because of time and what-not.
