Mine was as well. Though it was more of the fact that it got ridiculously strict as time went on. I remember it being fairly lenient at the beginning, and then got so incredibly strict when I left that pretty nasty stuff happened at my graduation. And it angers me that people actually side with the school for such bullshit.

No GPA's here during high school. We used actual marks.

(As in a mark between 0 and 100. No A's, no C's... you knew how well you did or didn't do.)

Here's how I went.

K-3rd Grade: Public school. Continual fist fighting with bullies.
5th Grade: Took this before 4th because I was apparently considered too intelligent to be grouped with people my age.
4th Grade: Took half of this at a charter school which had everything out of order, then again at an independent study program.
6-8: Home schooling.
9-12th: Did these in two years instead of fourth. Graduated so early I didn't have to take the test for No Child Left Behind. Took it anyway, nuked it out of the park with my scores. all independent study stuff.

Community College: 2005-2010, screwed around taking side courses. No proper advisement by the few counsellors I looked at. Been at it for 5 years but may have 3 to go before I get a BS. Sucks.
University: ??? Where I hope to go next to fix that mess.

Reception (Year 0) - Year 6: Bearpark Primary. Basically, the beginning of hell. Always got the high marks.
Year 7 - Year 11: DCBC. The place that drove me fucking insane. Hated most of the students and some of the teachers. Intentionally failed the lessons that I hated. Not bothered in the least.
AS - A2: New College. Where I can finally walk down a corridor without feeling immense paranoia. Still full of bottled up rage.
Med School: Hopefully, Stockton.

I skipped the 2nd grade. Apparently, there's some kind of law that requires all children to take the first grade no matter what (even though I already knew everything), so the next best option was chosen.

That doesn't mean that school life went without problems though...

Took kindergarten twice because the teachers didn't think I was ready.

Did 6th grade and 7th grade in one year.

There was no such thing as skipping grades in my school system.

Either that or nobody was smart enough to skip grades.

When I look back, I don't think it was a good idea to put me ahead. I just wanted to get out of middle school as fast as possible.

???

I skipped kindergarten after exactly two weeks. Apparently I wasn't very stimulated by the material.

And I'm back in Puerto Rico! I just had rice with beans, potato salad and turkey and the temperature is 80F (feels like 83F).

It is about 15 degrees here.

That is quite literally a big difference, but I'm wondering who has it better?

It's about 34 degrees here...

I think I would prefer the warmer weather...

All I know right now is that it's really cold in this basement.

I'd go in my room, but meh.

Gabu, I much prefer 80 over 15 xP It's not too hot, it's not humid, you can open the windows and let fresh air come in, you don't have to overdress just to go outside, etc...

The only thing I don't like here is the internet connection ... stupid Sprint ... D:

I'd say 80°F is too hot But 15°F is too cold.

Then again, you two grew up in hot climates and I grew up in a cold climate.

Yeah, and I think it's highly improbable to get earaches in 80 degrees.

Ow.
