I drew these up just now, for the heck of it.

I also didn't crop them or anything... this pretty much shows off the process of which I work, background color and all.

(though sometimes, I'll use dark purple instead of dark cyan, or I'll alternate them in a checkerboard pattern, if I need to differentiate boundaries for sprite sheets or something)

I hand drew the font, and hand-dither-patterned the dithering gradient thing.

Dunno why I used dithering, I guess it looks more speckly, like a starry sky does.

Anyway, how's it look?

Meh.

Anyways, they look pretty good for being simple buttons. I would wonder if vertically/horizontally centering the text on the buttons would help. You have New Poll that's horizontally centered fine and then the others are 'wut?' and then they all seem like they could be vertically shifted down a pixel for the text.

Other than that, can't really think of anything.
