I believe that UFOs are real. They aren't piloted by aliens, but rather by Americans. The government could be creating advanced, super-sonic, sound-less aircraft in Area 51. Flying Triangles are real, and I believe it is some sort of experimental aircraft. There could be UFOs that send down masers (microwave lasers) that are being made for warfare. Instead of an Atomic Bomb, masers could be used to burn down towns and cities. In fact, the Cash-Landrum Incident proves that UFOs are real. Two women died because of radiation poisoning. The diamond-shaped, rocket-like aircraft was apparently nuclear powered, because the big flame that it emitted in the rear was leaking radiation.

A lot of UFO sightings may be experimental aircraft.

I don't think aliens have visited Earth, though. Considering the theory of relativity and the speed of light and all, it would take a really long time to get to another planet with intelligent life. Microbial and other simple types of life are probably widespread in the Universe, but intelligent life would be rare. And why would they keep visiting us over and over?

I am 1000% sure that aliens in some form exist in other galaxies. Why? Well Space is too big for just us, and why have all those galaxies, stars, and planets if it could have just been the Sun and Earth?

Man, if I had an advanced super-sonic yet soundless aircraft, I feel like that could be useful for transportation... especially if soundless means that you don't get a sonic boom either, so you could fly it over populated areas. (Because hey, if you're speculating about super-technology, why limit yourself by physics? )

I wouldn't be surprised if some claimed UFO sightings turned out to actually be experimental aircraft (rather than hoaxes), but their capabilities are probably being overstated if they are...

Well, keep in mind that I said that intelligent life is likely to be rare, not that all life is likely to be nonexistent outside of Earth

Besides, civilizations may have existed billions of years ago on alien planets and died out just as long ago.

Absolutely, I believe in Aliens, and I know some true stories of people I know who have had encounters with aliens. Also, take in account the odds of intelligent life out there. Think twice if you believe in God, and if God cares about you, or even acknowledges you.

Let's go back to the late 80's-1990's and forget that the 21st century ever happened for the sake of our gaming, music, and reasonably sane technology. I would buy a new Famicom, Virtual Boy, Super Nintendo or Game Boy/Colour game if Nintendo started production again. Star Fox 2 would be great.

The problem I have is not so much "aliens don't exist" as it is "can they get to Earth"... I mean, I suppose if we were talking extremely long-lifespaned aliens or something (which is not really outside the realm of possibility, I guess), but otherwise relativity sets in... I'm not convinced FTL travel is really possible. (I like causality too much... )

So while I have a very open mind, what I know says it is pretty absurd to think there is aircraft made with a coincidentially very similar to ours technology from a diferent species, let alone planet. The absolute only way of this would be some cliché alien conspirancy watching humanity for millenia plot. And while I am not going to deny that, it is rather... unlikely.

However, the term UFO involves any unidentified aircraft. So yes, there are UFOs. Most however aren't from another planet. However it appears it also involves encounters of a more supernatural nature. Putting aside that people are stupid and that they would call anything in the sky a martian, it is possible for your usual "unknown shiny thing in the sky" scenario to actually be a non-human entity given the right circunstances.

Long version: As long as no human technology is involved, yeah why not.

I refuse to belief aliens can be technically superior. I highly doubt that they can find out about us, investigate us and send UFO's without the common public knowing.
That said, a UFO can be anything so it's not really the case of if anyone belief in UFO's, but whether they think their is some conspiracy going on about them.

I do not believe the UFO sightings are real/aliens spying on earth. I mean, this isn't OGame we are talking about, right?

I do, however, believe that intelligent life does exist out there. They may be very similar to us or they could be completely different to us. I mean, if the universe goes on forever there is bound to be another form of intelligent life out there.

Properly, UFO being "Unidentified Flying Objects", yes. There are plenty of possible flight-capable machines which are unknown to the general public. But aliens flying them? If they had the technology to visit/reach our solar system they'd probably be smart enough to find us not worth the time to interact with.

That doesn't mean I don't believe in aliens though! As one of my favourite film characters ever stated;
"The universe is a pretty big place. It's bigger than anything anyone has ever dreamed of before. So if it's just us... seems like an awful waste of space. Right?"

Quite frankly, I think if life does exist on other planets somewhere, it's probably similar to our own. If the laws of physics aren't likely to be different on other planets, then I don't get why the laws of evolution and such would be.

The whole concept of aliens having these highly-advanced civilizations and whatnot is sci-fi/fantasy romanticism and doesn't make a lot of sense to me - ever notice how in such situations, everybody on the whole alien planet either lives in a grand utopian society or they're marauding monsters bent on universal conquest. You're never going to get everyone on a whole planet to agree like that.
