So after school twice a week I generally have half an hour to walk around in the city doing nothing before I can board the train homeward. So most of the time I spent that half hour walking to all the game stores seeing if anyone happen to get in any GC or GBA game that I'm looking for. (haha fat chance!)

The biggest of them, which happen to be gamestop, is a bit of a pain in the ass. Every week I go in there they have reorganized something. I can kinda see the reasoning to reorganize if you think you can put up a new and better layout, but I find it annoying that every other time or so I walk in there I have to look around for where they placed the old GC games this time. I also generally fail to see the logic behind it, other then they want to seam "fresh" by having their stuff at new places. :p

Do you have any store/shop that does this too, and what do you think about it?

The Woodman's (local mega-grocery store) by my house does this all the fricken time. I can never find the soda or dairy section.

Barnes and Noble likes to do this... they usually keep the shelves in roughly the same layout too, so I walk over to a shelf expecting one thing and it turns out to be something completely different.

Too many stores do that. I remember going toward the old location of the games and humour sections of a Barnes & Noble several times.

It seems less common for grocery stores, but good luck finding something like drinking straws that they tend to put in random aisles.

According to my mother, it happens a lot in various stores she goes to.

Personally, I'm never that bothered by it.

The local grocery store has kinda moved stuff around in the last few months.

However, not much really changes around here just because there's almost nothing to change around.

Future Shop seems to do it all the time, at least locally.

Now I walk in and see tables full of CELL PHONES staring me right in the face. Music section's getting smaller and smaller too.

Gamestop's corporate office makes the their stores change their look every quarter. I hated having to move my store around when I worked there.

Another reason: Why would they put the effort in rearranging a 200x200 square foot store if it's the same damn building? Pointless, and it's wastes the customer's time. I could see this for a suppermarket to get people to buy more items by having them walk around and browse the store, but still, it is unfair to the customers.

My old local Gamestop would do this once in a while, but the grocery stores rearranged the stores frequently, scrambling my motivation to shop there. I have not lived in my new area long enough to tell if a store was rearranged or not, but I assume they have at least once since their existence,

Let's go back to the late 80's-1990's and forget that the 21st century ever happened for the sake of our gaming, music, and reasonably sane technology. I would buy a new Famicom, Virtual Boy, Super Nintendo or Game Boy/Colour game if Nintendo started production again. Star Fox 2 would be great.

I figure it's a thing to make people find other things that normally they wouldn't buy, and then buy it being all "hey, look what I found!" and get it, and then have to scour the rest of the store to find other stuff they wouldn't normally buy.

Sneaky business tactic, essentially.

Dollar General used to rearrange shit so often I couldn't find things.

This is a problem, because I work there.

They've eased up in the last few months though.

The Target here rearranged everything when it became a grocery store. Now it's really easy to get lost and not find anything. X_X

A while back, when I went to Best Buy, a lot of stuff was moved around... it took me a while to find the DVDs.

Kmart, otoh, hasn't moved stuff around in a long time...

My local Best Buy recently moved their stuff around as well. It wasn't a huge move, at least.

My EB Games (GameStop for you south of the 49Meridian) does this all the time. It's in a mall.
