Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness for the PSP. Pre-ship 10/30. Nice little Halloween thingee.

For those of you who, for some strange fscking reason, missed the great-est-ness that WAS Disgaea: Hour of Darkness you DO have the ability to redeem yourself with this remake/re-release. The amount of content now stuck into this will probably push one to play this at least 200 hours to get everything done...

NOT ONLY THAT...

But there's multiplayer. Yes...a way to finally kick each other's ass 2P. That in its own right is going to be interesting just for the sheer fact of level 9999s in open-melee combat. There are several modes to go through with this...and fog of war additions are in there as well.

Honestly, there should be no reason to pass this up unless you're not an RPG fan...and even then there shouldn't really be a reason to pass this up...and almost to the point of considering yourself a gamer. It is that good.

Guess it'll have more hype (if any) coming towards its release in a month. There are plenty of trailers around the net as it is for it.

I'll pass it up too, mainly because it'd be the only game on the PSP I'd buy actually, I forgot about the FFTactics remake, which I might also get, if I did get a PSP. Aside, since I already own a DS, I'm still hoping for this. Although it's old news, I can still be hopeful.

Well, thankfully this wouldn't be the only thing I'd get but it'd be a good start. In the recent months, PSP's been getting some -very- decent material which is very showing of Sony to only start getting some decent stuff now just like every other consoles - wait a year and make the consumer pissed and jumped to other consoles.

As far as the DS release is concerned, it won't be happening anytime soon if at all. The only reason DS fans want it is they don't want to buy a kickass game if they can hope to the gods that it'll be out on their console instead. I couldn't really tell you how that whole 'leak of third parties' would last though to be so sure, however, so I guess anything's possible.

All I know is that I would have much more of a reason to buy a PSP other than just this game alone...but this would be a damned good start in anyone's favor over the DS.

I'd ran the Japanese version of PSP Disgaea briefly. Too text heavy, decided to wait for news about an English one. I'm considering buying this because my memory stick is too small to hold more than 1 big game, or zero in some cases if they're over 1GB even with ripping/compression.

A little burned out on strategy-style games at the moment. Used to play Civilization for DOS often, and Fire Emblem 7 was a masterpiece. Didn't care for the FFTactics or Shining Force series' much however.

I'd be in the market to buy these days anyways just for the sheer fact that I'm in the point of my life now where I can afford these things no problem...but I'd likely be the same way if I had access to the console initially and had a 2GB Pro Duo lying around.

Well, NIS *is* working on a DS game. We just don't know what yet and when we'll hear more about it. :\ (Watch it not even be a RPG...)

The struggle you might have when Disgaea 3 comes out, Hiryuu... I can see you buying the game even without owning a PS3. Just to make sure you have it.

Meh, I might try it. My poor PsP needs some attention every now and then. But at least when the game comes out, I'll have a decent RPG to recommend to people.
