Someone tried to teach me how to play MTG when I was maybe 7 or 8 or something, and I didn't understand it at all. I wonder if it would make more sense to me >10 years later.

Also, I think it's pretty much still up in the air as to what the rules for this game are going to me.

Apparently, Duel Masters is a lot like Magic, but is far more simpler in my opinion. Then again, I just collect the cards for their art.


I don't know how well it would actually be able to translate into stuff related to the message board.

It's sorta like Magic, with tapping and mana and stuff, but more kidfriendly and with sometimes rather humorous quotes.


They also have very nice art, so I suggest you check some of them out (especially Light cards hint hint nudge nudge ).

How about just developing a simple card system?

Mana - How much things cost, you get it by discarding cards, 1 mana per card.
Creature - Obvious.
Power - POWAR.
Level - Stolen from Munchkin.

if(creature1(power) > creature2(power))
kill creature2;
add +1 level;
if(level = 10)
System.out.println("YOU WIN");

Or?
