People have told me their reasons and I still don't get all the fucking hate for them. (It'd be nice if they stretched properly horizontally, but that's a minor thing to me)

The thing is, scroll layouts need to have a few specifics. Database's was perfectly fine; a fair amount of text was able to fit in it, and it was sufficiently long. I more meant the well-done scroll layouts, honestly.

Yours, sadly, wasn't wide enough and the text was a bit too big.

Scrollbar layouts can be ok when done well, and yes Database's would count as ok.

But myself I vastly prefer stretching 100% fill the post area layouts. Like mine.

I never liked scrollbar layouts because you have to scroll them separately- though in Database's case it looks like he used a fairly small font, so maybe that wouldn't happen as much, but it's still kind of annoying...

Since I have a widescreen aspect ratio, I do like layouts that confine the post horizontally, though... (that's why I made this layout that way. )
