I sleep for 5-ish.

If I'm lucky.

How in hell can you sleep for 14 hours?

I'd be kinda shocked if I managed that. I usually get 4-6, and actually run best on that.

Save recently, though... (I'm adjusted to 16-18 hour days! what!)

I used to typically be able to sleep for 8, 9, even 10 hours at (mostly) a stretch, back when I went to bed at like 3 in the morning. Now I go to bed earlier and tend to wake up a fuckload of times during the night, usually averaging 5-6 hours a night.

I average 8-10-ish a night. Last night it was about 8.5. Of course, sometimes it varies a lot, I get 12s and 5s and stuff.

I usually get about 7 or 8 hours... but that's the whole time I spend "sleeping", I don't sleep very well and so it usually takes awhile for me to actually fall asleep, so maybe more like 6 or 7...

I forgot to mention that this is usually completely negated by the fact that I wake up stupidly early, like 1 or 2am.

That is... around when I go to sleep. (Well, lately I've been sleeping a little earlier, like at 12:30ish, but close enough) Quite an interesting schedule you have there...

Very. I'm wiped out by the time I start getting ready for college, then I'm beyond exhausted after college and the whole process repeats.

Thankfully, I can break the cycle. For about a week.

Happy birthday, JerryArr!

You were the guy who did the Hollywood Squares game at I1, right? Monarx J. Kitsune?

Wait, JerryArr is Monarx? I remember that guy! I didn't realize they were still around...

Happy birthday!

I wasn't aware the Dreamcast had a web browser.

I seem to recall Sega pushing the web service pretty hard. Then again, given how broadband was starting to gain momentum...

I remember when I first got broadband... oh what a glorious day. Trumpets sounded. Angels sang.

And I played some crappy Lord of the Rings game online.

I didn't get proper broadband until 2006. I did have a wireless LAN connection for a while before then, but I was one of the last people to still be on dialup.

I got broadband back in... geez. 2000? Modems were so bulky and hot then.

Yeah, broadband companies didn't care about our village of 1000-ish people, many of whom resided in trailer parks. My parents got broadband in like 2008. I remember always being resentful at all my friends online having broadband while I was stuck with the slow connection.

I remember having the old-school DSL where you still had to run a log-in program every time you wanted the internet... (though since we were used to dial-up at the time it didn't seem like much of an inconvenience)

I remember having dial up in '99/'00. Not sure when I left dial up.

Does anyone remember that screeching noise that most dialup modems would make when connecting to the Internet?

I never liked that. I know it has to send various noises along the phone line, but why does it also broadcast them into the room?

I liked it... at the time, it seemed high tech. "The computer is making beeping noises! It's just like a movie!"
