I'm asking seriously. Who has ever been in the state of Maine before?

It's my home state, but it's up in a place that unless people want to go there, they usually don't. It's unusual to hear about people coming up here, so...I dunno, I'm curious.

My parents have, and it was for their 25th anniversary.

I've never been there before though.

When I was younger, we would go to Old Orchard Beach nearly every summer, as my uncle has a vacation home up there.

Never actually crossed the middle of the US, so no. Well, the closest is somewhere in the Midwest, but that's not Maine, now is it? :p

Haven't been there, but if I had to move out of Pennsylvania... Maine is high up on the list.

I dunno any other states I'd pick, really... I want to stay in this general area, though.

Nope, I've never been to Maine.

The only New England state I've ever visited is Vermont briefly in the mid-1990s. I barely remember it.

I've been through Maine when I was younger, if that counts. My father got a speeding ticket there.

Fun times.

My uncle has a summer house up in York that we tend to use/visit every so often during the summer (duh) for about a week or so, so yeah. I've been there nearly every summer as long as I can remember.

Very awesome! Summer's the best time to visit, honestly. Come winter, you get all kinds of blizzards and shit and you start to want to hibernate like a bear.

I'd like to visit California. It's not Maine, that's the only reason I need. :p

Not at all. Furthest east I've been (and also furthest south) happened to be Washington D.C., and I think the furthest north is... Six Flags Great America and west being Northern Illinois University.

Hey guess what I don't travel much.

Never. Even worse considering I'm in a province that borders the state. :\

I'm actually from Massachusetts originally, family still lives there, so California is pretty new territory for me as well. That being said, I know aaaall about the winters back on that end of the country I'm rather curious as to how cold it (won't) get in these parts, actually.

A few years ago I went to Maine on a camping vacation

I forget the name of the area but we were near the Bay of Fundy
best bay name ever

Were there a lot of fundies in the bay?

I'm new to this area as well. I grew up in Michigan and I'm used to the extremely cold winters, so it'll be strange to probably have a winter with almost no snow.

No. The odd thing is I never seem to need to venture north, and it's unlikely Maine will ever be on my way anywhere, except Maine.

It's one of my least likely to visit states. But hey, nothing against Maine

You could have been in Maine or you could have easily slipped across the border into Canada.

I'd be more likely to visit Maine than a state like... oh... Wyoming.
