Cool...
It's the first time I see my name in here.

There are like 4 new users that are asking AGAIN the "standard" set of questions every new NSMB hacker asks...

I'm at nearly 1000 posts

I figured this out about sometime when roxahris had something similar in his layout.

You can interpret it as a silly cluster of activity of both good and bad.

I have a B.A. in English, so expect a lot of interpretive matters.

If I transfer, I may minor in English, myself. I possess some pretty decent skills in it.

I'm happy that I never have to do English again! I love writing, but I find the lessons are so boring...

I like writing sometimes, but I was never too fond of English classes. Too much reading of boring stuff and actually having to analyse and understand it. I always liked when we could pick our own books for book reports

Not to mention reading certain books. Of Mice and Men is a horrid book.

We had to read Great Expectations. I thought it was rather dull.

When picking my own books, I tended to go with fantasy or science-fiction The genres that like every English teacher in the world tends to hate with a passion for some reason

My sister had to read The Lovely Bones... I enjoyed it, but it took her a while for her to get into it. I think some schools are even adding Twilight to the mandatory curriculum. =/

I can understand why Of Mice and Men was banned back in the 1950's. NOT an nice book. It was even less fun when I learned that all of my Year 11 English work and even my English exams would be based mostly around that one book.

Wait, seriously? That just sounds like an awful idea... I mean, I guess I can see an argument for including recent books, but Twilight is kind of... not exactly what I would choose, I will put it like that...

Crummy Highschool English involved such classics as A Separate Peace (An idiotic book which equates two idiots goofing around on a tree and one of them falling off and dying to being equal in magnitude to FREAKIN' WORLD WAR 2), The Great Gatsby (Not as idiotic but generic old timey book with a bunch of fast cars and mystery, but kind of... empty.), Julius Caesar (Now that's some okay stuff.), To Kill a Mockingbird (A decent choice, though the issue of racism and such it brings up is a bit weaker due to our less racist society), and some others I forget.

You want to go to College English. There, you can pick which books to study, and what to learn about in general. So you can do some fun stuff, like Shakespeare and his mega-murderthon epics. :p
