Nothing really special, I guess. I stopped trick-or-treating around 12-13 and the holiday hasn't been that common in Finland. Easter, in the other hand, is our trick-or-treat holiday. Dressing as witches / monsters, bringing catkins into houses and getting candy...

I did once get a miniature plastic bow.

That's interesting, Pandaren.

I think Halloween originated as a Celtic festival in places like Ireland, and it was brought to North America by immigrants, so I'm not surprised that some parts of Europe ignore it.

Brightly coloured feathers and little decorations are also attached to birch branches in a vase. For lunch/dinner on Holy Saturday, families traditionally feast on a smörgåsbord of herring, salmon, potatoes, eggs and other kinds of food. In Finland, the Lutheran majority enjoys mämmi as another traditional Easter treat, while the Orthodox minority's traditions include eating pasha (also spelled paskha) instead.
I personally hate mämmi though D:

Now that I think way back, I think we got a really odd chocolate egg back then. It came in a wrapping littered with russian and it tasted like it had alcohol in it. Nothing really "freaky" though.

Don't worry, it was just a security measure.

Anyway, there used to be this one house that gave out nickels, but that's pretty much it.

I've been given dollar bills (a couple 1s, I think) in the past, if I remember correctly... but that's the only weird thing.

No apples for me, I've been given dollar bills, as well (as much as $10s), but nothing I could consider weird.

In Puerto Rico kids would sing "Halloween, trick-or-treat, dame chavo y no maní" which translates to "give me money, not candy." So the money really isn't 'weird'.

I have no idea where that phrase came from.

...$10s on Halloween? Holy shit.

I wonder how much you've ever gotten in one night?

Are candy pumpkins really that different from candy corn? I mean, I like them both, but the pumpkins are basically fat candy corn...

I never really get anything unusual. The weirdest thing I've gotten was probably a packet of forget-me-not seeds (for planting, not eating).
