Ok I like these voices! And I love the feel of that cutscene! Watching that felt more like a good episode of one of the Sonic TV series, only without the annoying. That is a very good thing! It actually made me feel nostalgic, especially when Sonic broke the fourth wall.

But yeah, the Sonic Adventure voices were ok, and the Sonic X ones weren't bad either, but each one of those had some characters sounding either incredibly annoying, or really off, and I've never liked tails in either one. Tails actually sounds listenable now, so I'm happy. Sonic's voice caught me off guard at first since his voice has kind of been established for a while now, but after hearing it for a bit, I'd say its definitely an improvement! It's not nearly as corny, and it feels more in character somehow. I'm really looking forward to this game now!

The Sonic Color's DS demo is fun to play. It plays like a very tight sonic rush.

Also, the fire wisp is awesome.

I would not trust an IGN review or anything they say at all. Past experience tells me that they don't know shit about what they talk about. :/

It's interesting that the game is getting high scores on the meta critique though.

Makes me even more interested in the game. Too bad I also want epic yarn and 007 golden eye, and I just can't afford every game. :<

I was actually disappointed with Goldeneye, but as always, YMMV.

I'll get to play some Sonic Colours tomorrow. PAL version whoo? I'm not holding my breath, but I am expecting to actually enjoy myself.

The DS Version definitely won't be as good as the other console versions. I'm playing it now, and it uses a hybrid of the Sonic 4 and Sonic Rush engines. It lacks full cutscenes, to the point of some of the scenes (like the translator one) getting a ton cut off of them.

Still, the DS version kicks Sonic 4's ass. There's some similar physics problems but you're too busy playing like it's Sonic Rush to notice. I'm having a lot of fun with it so far.

Not to sound like a hypocrite or anything (as I haven't played Sonic Colours for the DS yet) but I'm sure it will be better than Sonic 4 as it is not trying to compare itself, and it feels like Sega is actually not allowing the game to take itself too seriously.

Word on the ~~street~~intarwebs is that Gametrailers was playing a pre-release copy with some control issues. And considering that almost everybody else is happy, one bad review is minor.

And I've beaten World 1, and this game is the most I've enjoyed myself with a Sonic game in at least half a decade. I laughed at a cutscene, and the game itself is quite enjoyable.
