Another Halloween to just wait for about 10 kids to come to our door.

Even though we live in a town next to a city.

Odds are 5 of those kids are being driven in cars from door to door.

10 is more than we got back home... then again, we lived in a part of town inhabited mostly by old people

It was nice when I trick-or-treated, though, because people would say "Oh, no one else has come all night, take as much candy as you want!"

I think I'll be lucky if I even have a pumpkin to carve, due to an overestimation on my part.

It's fine though. I just need to transfer first. Only then will I be around potentially fun people, unlike my family, who on a good day just manage to not burst into screaming at one another while I sit off to the side, miming drinking whisky.

Absolutely nothing. It's raining right now at 6:45 PM and it doesn't look like it'll let up before 11 PM. So, a lot of plans are ruined for a lot of kids

It's not like it really matters though, I haven't had a trick or treater at my door in 7 or 8 years. My neighborhood has gotten that bad

I haven't had trick-or-tresters in years because I've lived in apartment buildings.

It does make me wonder what kids in apartments do for trick-or-treating, though. Just go to nearby houses?

I walked around the neighbourhood with my younger sister while she went tricker treating. Halloween has really gone down hill around where I live when you compare it to how it used to be. When I used to go tricker treating there were maybe five houses on each of the streets around my house that didn't give out candy, this year you were lucky if you could find a street that actually had five or more houses that were handing out candy. I'm not really sure what happened

At least you got *some*...

More people need to be creative with their pumpkins, by the way. You see the same design outdoors time and time again... it's nice to see people (like MM88) using tricks.

We'd usually just do garden-variety faces, usually with bizarre geometric shape choices like a triangle for one eye and a circle for the other. Once, we carved one more elaborately from a pattern, and I can't remember what we carved.

My parents got 59 kids, which is a lot for where they live.

We got only two sets of kids so far. My pumpkin scared away a horde of little kids, apparently, so only one group made it to our door.

And yeah, I practice the varied technique. I started last year w/a Metal Sonic pumpkin.
