Yeah, I think that's what it was, a sugar crash. (Not a "sugar shock". That would probably be really bad.)

That's why I generally do not like poundcake, but apparently that's all that stores like SuperStore and Sobeys sells here.

Similar issues with caffeine for me, I even become sort of drunk on caffeine. The problem was, even if I kept the caffeine levels up, every so often I'd get a smashing headache anyway. X_X

What kind of pound cake are you eating? The ones around here aren't overly sweet... (OK, the marble ones are but still.)

I'm not sure. All that I can remember is that the packages have a purple label affixed to them. And quite a bit of icing. (Maybe that's what it is.)

I typically don't eat too much pound cake... just the plain stuff.

Chocolate chip sometimes, too, but definitely not as much.

Of course, the only time that I have poundcake is on birthdays (or other very special occasions.) So that's anywhere from one time a year, to maybe three or four.

I don't often have other types of cake, either. I used to have it a lot around family birthdays.

Work has pretty much conditioned me from caffeine highs.. :/
I can drink a bottle of Coke at two in the morning, and still pass out within ten minutes of going to bed.

I can get a sugar high if I have too much, but I've never been able to get much of an effect from caffeine beyond my normal difficulty sleeping, which happens anyway

I don't get any more energy no matter how much I eat anymore. I used to get these sugar binges where I would bounce off the wall crazy when I ate just a little bit of sugar.

It doesn't bother me so much anymore. I'm usually active enough to get all the hyperness out of my system so it doesn't bubble over and make me a psychopath.

However, a lack of sleep will fuck me up big time. Sometimes I'll think everything is really funny when I'm tired. I mean everything.
