So tonight Halo 3 is released. I'm sorta excited about working the midnight launch, bu that means I have to wait to play the game and to watch the first new episode of Heroes.

At my store, we have about 380 reserves in total. And after Sunday's last minute reserve madness, we might actually sell out of the regular edition of the game.

You beat me to the topic. On the way in from cross country practice, around half the team burst into a rendition of the halo theme at the top of their lungs, and reaching high voices I had thought impossible for males of their age. I don't think I've ever known of a game with so much hype. Also, people trying to get out of practice tomorrow, declaring it a religious holiday.

Gah! It's hard to resist highlighting, but I'm going to force myself not to.

I'm actually going to wait until Christmas before getting this game, that way, supplies will hopefully be back in stock, and I'll be able to obtain the new hardware-revised 360 by then.

I really hope this game lives up to its hype.

Halo 2 didn't for me, so it probably won't here.

Oh well. I heard things about it, but the only thing that really intrigues me is the map editor. That'll make online better unless they fuck it over like they did Halo 2.

...just go buy the game when stores open early, like they are here. And they're giving away the Fantastic Four game at a store here as a bonus. Yes. GIVING IT AWAY. XD

...but yeah, it's probably going to be awesome and sell a zillion copies. Not my cup of tea but I can see why people like it. Looks purdy.

Meh, to me the game itself is overated. I never did like the Halo Series, its a little slow on the deathmatch areas. And Xbox live?

I played a little bit after I cam home last night and played until around 4:30am. Urg, I have a headache right now and I have to head back to work at 2pm. Got through the first three chapters on online co-op last night.

Last night for our midnight sale, our store had around 400 people, probably a little more. Amazingly, with our pre-ring system, we got through them all by around 1:45 or so. After today, we've sold around 800 copies of the game so far.

And my friends and I just beat it on Heroic Co-op. Now onto multiplayer.

It's a shame the game sucks. Everyones saying the storytelling is bland, levels are being rehashed and it only lasts 4-6 hours.

Pretty much everyone I know with an XBox 360 has gone out and bought more controllers because of the release.

I haven't played it, so I can't really judge the game. I've just watched other people play campaign mode...

My thumb hurts. This has not happened in a looong time. Then again, when I play, I press hard on the side of the analog stick. Hmm..I think it might be bruised.

But wow, I've gotten a lot better at Halo. Sure, I only play about 58 games of Halo 2 and I'm closing in that number already with Halo 3..I guess I just like the controllers better with 3. And I think its a bit more fast-pace than the last one..but also, when 2 came out, I had no interest in it whatsoever and thought that it was overrated. Then I started to play a few months back and now I am determine to be good at it.

Sure, the story mode in 3 is short, the hubby and I beat it in one sitting and I know people who have already beaten it on all three main difficulty levels, but the multiplayer is f'ing fun, to say the least.

Sure, there are so issues with the game in general: glitches, the collector's edition is a huge mess with its crappy packaging and, well, there's more to come, I am sure.

But at any rate, I am enjoying it and its a good game to pass the time before...oh...about 7 other games that are coming out this year that I will be getting.

My brother is freaking out over this game.

If the single player is as short as everyone says it is I'll not think twice about passing this game up. The multiplayer aspect always pisses me off in FPS games as people abuse glitches and everything to achieve victory instead of doing dumb things that are fun.

Halo's multiplayer is a godsend due to the Warthogs not taking damage and when colliding with each other they do a bunch of awesome stuff. Halo 2 just ruined that and made it more... uh, "lol I killz you" to me. Hell, Race was my favorite mode. If that made a return then I'd probably enjoy Halo 3 a bit more.

If I do play it, it'll be the PC version when it comes out, everyone with a 360, or that has visited someone with a 360, says it's awesome, but I usually don't trust my peers' tastes in games, they tend to overrate everything meaning good games become great games, great games are godly, meh games are good games, etc. The only explanation I can find here is that they got into gaming when the Shit games to Great games ratio started taking bad hits, and I got in much earlier.
