No time tomorrow, so no JCS, but I'm already ahead of where I usually am, heh.

I'm sure when I hit 5,000 then I'll through a big bash, too. Just sucks I missed all the fun of Anya's 20k blowout. Sorry Anya, wish I could have been here for you!

Hm, I fell out of the rankings... oh well.

As for Christmas-y stores... Next week? Clearly you haven't been to any stores around here

Canada's a little more reserved. We'll at least wait until after Halloween.

Next week Christmas decorations go up and Halloween candy's sold for 50-75% off.

Truth be told I did see stuff up at the local Dollarama at least since a couple of weeks ago...

When is the earliest that I can start playing Christmas tunes? :p

My parents, specifically my father, tend to put up Christmas stuff extremely early sometimes adn leave it up all year. Not all of it though, just a few things like some model houses and a picture of a tree I drew when I was a lot younger with glitter and such.

You know, I literally just realized all the Christmas decorations are still up here.

Apparently they weren't ever put back. Whoops?

Wal-Mart has had Christmas stuff out about as long as they've had Halloween stuff out, but only a small section. Next week it will grow exponentially like the plague.

These are the decorations that parents keep forever. My mother must have at least 4 or 5 things of mine that I made when I was a kid. A Christmas card, an ornament I made in school, etc, etc. You could offer to give their house a Home Makeover: Christmas Edition with a $50,000 budget if they just give those things up, but they would never even consider it.

So it looks like I will be dressing up after all this year. We got my older son a Darth Vader costume and my younger son will be using the Yoda outfit from last year.

Dollar store doesn't really count...

When is the earliest that I can start playing Christmas tunes?

In my book? December 1st.

I doubt I'll get an Xmas tree. I'm sure the cats will eat it or try to knock it down....or both.

We used to have a bunch of decorations that I made at school and whatnot. Some reindeer (?) ornaments made out of dog biscuits, which supposedly eventually went bad.

I don't have a tree, but maybe I'll get my old one shipped here. Yay for artificial trees

My parents got one a few times that I can remember but my in-laws say they always get a real tree. Its really nice to have a real one but they are a hassle. Needles everywhere, have to water them every other day, cat hazard, fire hazard...
