After ages of having to put up with 6 year old parts and an nVidia 6800 that barely plays games, I've finally got a new computer!
Intel Core 2 Quad, but I don't know what the speed is at the moment.
Radeon HD 5850, which can be easily overclocked.
New 750W PSU to keep up with the graphics card
1TB (or 1,000GB. Close enough) SATA II hard-drive.
4GB DDR2 RAM.
Windows 7.
WHOO!

Unboxed the computer just now I've got pictures from my iPhone of the computer, which I'll upload either tonight or tomorrow, whenever I get the Internet set up. Likely tomorrow because I'll be downloading updates, Microsoft Security Essentials and FireFox. With any luck, my next post will be made from a computer running Windows 7 and a f'ing awesome graphics card Can't wait to play UT3 on full graphics!

Well, we've managed to install the graphics card and the PSU. I'll post the pictures later because the router is finally dying and we're going to PCWorld to hopefully get a working one.
The first game I tested on it was Unreal Tournament 3. EVERYTHING is on it's highest possible settings and it runs SO smoothly, it's unbelievable. We may be getting Fallout: New Vegas today (if not, then tomorrow), so hopefully I'll be further testing the card. As a bonus, the card comes with over-clocking software. It is fully over-clocked and it runs perfectly
**Pictures to come**

New Vegas isn't the best benchmark until Bethesda gets an official performance patch out. Right now there's a bug with the facial animations that is set up wrong, and even on the most high-end of the high-end graphics cards (not just nVidia cards like some would tell you) it will bring the framerate down to slideshow levels. There is an unofficial fix (that's the ATI version, there's a separate one for nVidia users) right now though. A few people haven't had any problems whatsoever without the fix, though (because the facial animation was configured properly for a select few cards, but not for the majority.)
Also UT3 runs great even on ratherly bad hardware (like a low-end GeForce 7 or 8 series card -- which is one of the great things about Unreal Engine 3, is that it is really fast.) :p
However it still sounds like a pretty darn good machine.

I had actually manged to run UT3 on a single-core running an nVidia 6800 O.o
And you're right, New Vegas doesn't appear to be a good benchmark. However, everything is running incredibly smoothly with the graphics set to Ultra High Quality by DEFAULT

Protip: If you aren't using the other computer then take out the harddrives and use them in your new one (assuming that they're still stable.)
Extra gigabytes is never wrong.

Already beat you The copying picture was me copying a lot of stuff into one Data folder. We WERE going to put the old hard-drive into a housing, copy the Data folder to my new hard-drive, format the old one and use it as extra data storage (So a (REAL)terabyte and a bit of storage), but the housing we bought wasn't Win7 compatible OR 64-bit compatible. And considering I'm using 64-bit Win7...
Can someone explain how a USB device is OS-specific? All you're supposed to need to do is plug the damn thing in and wait a full 1 second before it recognises it ¬¬

My gigantic-ass graphics card is in the way Seriously. It doesn't fit. That's why we had to move the hard-drive bay in the first place. The SATA cable simply won't fit under the card.
Today, my dad bought a NEW external housing and an L SATA Cable. My old hard-drive is in the external housing and I can now get a 3rd hard-drive (which I likely will) due to the L SATA Cable being able to fit under the card, unlike the old one.
