Yeah, before online news sources, there were these things. Does anyone else read them?

I only read one, actually, Seattle Gay News, which as you expect focuses mostly on LGBT issues

Don't often read the newspaper, other than for the flyers every Sunday and Wednesday. =P

Although, if there's an important story going on, then I pick it up... =)

I read the Boston Globe occasionally... but even then I use its website, so I guess that doesn't count.

Not really. I do remember that I hated the smell of newspapers and how the ink would end up on my fingertips.

I tried to pay attention to them, but they're always so... outdated, slow, and expensive...

Get the paper delivered every morning. They've stopped making the Sunday edition, though.

I'll mainly read the sports section. Rest of the news is stuff I've probably read online.

I'm surprised to hear that- I would have guessed that Sunday would have been cut last, given how many ads most papers seem to shove into their Sunday editions...

My parents gets the Sun-Times every day. We used to get the Chicago Tribune, but my parents got sick of the prices or something and canceled their subscription.

My friend's parents get the newspaper frequently and I look at it when I'm at his house sometimes... to read the comics

When I'm going to work for two shifts a day, I usually buy one. It is nice to have when using bus and metro, and in the spare time I can fill out the crossword at least in parts at work. If I only work one shift (four hours) I usually don't buy one, as I have free information at home, using the internet. In these cases buying a newspaper would just be wasted money, as more or less thrown away half-read. Of course I don't read everything, I don't have shares for instance

Also I will preferring the print medium over electronic magazines when travelling from A to B routinely. Amazon Kindle, iPad or what these are called yet failed to impress me until now, though.

I used to read the comics at grandpa's, because he gets the sunday paper. I'm not terribly interested in teh news and can get most of what I am interested in online.

On Arriva buses over here, there is the Metro Newspaper. It's free and it's new daily, assuming they got around to replacing it before sending the buses out. I always read one on the way to and from school.

They have the Metro newspaper in Boston as well, but not at the commuter rail stations... (or at least not at the suburban ones that I would go to )

The only newspaper that matters to me is the local one, the Democrat and Chronicle (which ironically was a republican-friendly newspaper up until a few years ago when they strived to be more neutral). I don't often read it though, the only sections I care about are the living section and the sunday comics. For only $0.25 a day with free home delivery, not to mention it's good fireplace starting material, I can't complain.

I have never read newspapers besides the funnies and ads. And the only time I check the ads are for Black Friday. Sometimes I'll check out the computer store ads if I'm looking for a new piece of technology.

I do go to msnbc.com for news every once in a while, but that doesn't really count since its not a printed newspaper.

I read the classified ads looking for a better job within five miles, does that count?

I'm surprised to hear that- I would have guessed that Sunday would have been cut last, given how many ads most papers seem to shove into their Sunday editions...

Sunday paper here was the smallest edition of the week and they had problems selling advertising for it. :\ Thing is that it only had 3 sections but they were packed with news/sports.

Hm- here Sunday sections tend to be the largest, mostly due to real estate listings and car dealerships. (Of course, they advertise other days of the week too, but not to the same degree)

I read the Las Vegas Sun online some times.

Funny thing, the LVS is in an agreement with the Las Vegas Review Journal, that they're both delivered together (the Sun being inside the RJ). Of course, the RJ sucks, so it turns into having a big paper wrapper for the newspaper.
