I know that there are only a few other WoW or ex-WoW players here, but there are plenty of StarCraft 2 fans here, even with the recent fiasco. So I thought I'd post this anyway. I'm off tomorrow to watch the live stream of Blizzcon 2010 and I'll be posting all the latest updates here. It will most likely be 90% Cataclysm, 5% StarCraft 2 and 5% Diablo 3. Cataclysm releases in less than 2 months so its understandable that they will focus on their nearest launch.

I don't think we'll get much new information since 99% of the details of Cataclysm we're dished out last year. But it will be interesting to see some of the finalized or near complete features in Blizzard style. If anyone wants, I can try to stream it from my PC over ustream but when I streamed my 24 hours of WoW, it was semi choppy. Audio was ok, though. Send me a PM if you want this.

Anyway, see you guys tomorrow.

I'm interested in the rumored new MMO with a whole new IP.

The only thing that we seem to know is that they're doing something, though it surprises me that they would make another game for a genre that they already own to 95%.

I'm guessing more Diablo III details (maybe not a release date but an updated on-floor demo and new areas/features) and possibly the first teaser video for StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm.

The only thing that we seem to know is that they're doing something, though it surprises me that they would make another game for a genre that they already own to 95%.

That means it *cannot* be similar to WoW. Would have to be a new concept that might attract gamers not into that.

Yeah, sorry I'm a little late on that. Been trying to get my stream working better and then had to remote in from work.

Besides the intro, there wasn't tons of information except for the character design process. I'll go through the video and post the skills and abilities they revealed during the panel.

They're not necessarily new play modes, just new custom maps put out by Blizzard.

There wasn't a ton of huge news this year besides Diablo 3 and the Demon Hunter. They also announced PVP battle arenas for D3, which is pretty cool. I foresee another MLG series for D3 arenas.

Custom maps, yeah... but some of them will likely be popular enough to be considered game modes.

The battle arenas got great reviews by the people there. Blizzard: the masters of crack in gaming form.
