EXTENSIONS BECAUSE CHROME AND FIREFOX USERS WON'T SHUT UP ABOUT THEM

some other stuff in this build:
- there's now an on-demand option for plugins
- native skin actually looks native
- manage plugins via about:plugins (YOU CAN DISABLE THEM )

Paulguy's Post configuration
Looks nice. Looking forward to a good set of extensions coming out, like adblock plus that can actually do updates and stuff as well as something like noscript. Seems most of the basics are there so far. The way they implemented it seems to make sense, in that they are a kind of user javascript thing, though when it refers to background process, I worry that that would amount to an actual open background webpage or something, so that could cause a good bit of overhead, though if they're optimized enough about it, they probably won't handle rendering or anything like that on it. Seems pretty versatile, though, in that you have access to most things related to open webpages, as well as creating webpages in code (For extension configuration pages or just presentation of data.). Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have much access to the UI, but that might change, even by the time it's out.

I would consider making the switch if this was maybe a year ago when I needed to conserve my processing power.

But at the moment I have loads, so I'll just keep using firefox even if it is bloated. And the fact that I have it customized perfectly to my liking.

Does this still run on Windows 2000? Too lazy to check right now...

Edit: Nice, it still works on Windows 2000... although there really needs to be something like KernelEx for Windows 2000 soon...

I will upgrade to it for watching videos, as I use it for that, buuut Firefox will never be replaced for my main one. In fact, when they come out with x64 Adobe Flash, it will be my only one.

10.2 has a 64 bit version. It's the only one I was able to use reliably. All of the 32 bit versions were crashy and unstable for me.

A couple invaluable Firefox extensions have been the entire reason I continue to put up with this nonsense, so if they end up being ported... though, some are kind of obscure, so that may not happen.

Uhm, I kinda doubt that was his intent, and that it was really probably a bit tongue in cheek, in that a lot of people tend to say "I don't like Opera because it doesn't have extensions." or "I'd switch to Opera, if it had extensions.", and he was probably being more specific since Chrome and Firefox are the major competitors outside of Internet Explorer for browsers, but I don't think Internet Explorer really has extensions, so it doesn't really count.
