My hubby has a lot of the old school books. I keep telling him that I want to try it out, but he told me that he doesn't work with two people.

Also mentioned we could do it online and he said that wouldn't work either.

It does work online, using IRC. I RPed with some of those, if they're Advanced Dungeons and Dragons books (the ones with THAC0).

I never had a big group of people IRL for stuff like D&D, although I did get into Lone Wolf, which is a solo game that's kind of an RPG

I don't really know much about most other games... but IMO the dungeon system in D&D is pretty terrible.

Then again, dungeons could have some interesting puzzles... if you have an good game master. :p


Also, I have never heard of Pathfinder before, (not that I have been looking around much or have the time effort to do it) is it any good? :3

Found out that Pathfinder is the one that my hubby wants to buy.

Maybe I can convince him or get it for him for Xmas.

There's a local comic shop that runs D&D games, for advanced and beginner players.

Pathfinder is the best D&D so far. It's a continuation of 3.5 which avoids the dumb 4.0 trend of making everyone the same. It cleans up some bugs and makes 3.5 even more fun than before. So I'd highly recommend it.
