And he doesn't know what to buy with it.
I'm thinking something that'll run on my shitty laptop, yet something I can sink a lot of time into. (Also something I can play when I'm killing time at the college. ) Any ideas? (For reference, in terms of stuff I have, I've got Orange Box, Puzzle Quest 2, Faerie Solitaire, Serious Sam, Unreal Tournament, and some other stuff. )

So that, or should I wait and see if an awesome sale comes around at some point?

Tales of monkey island complete pack is on a rather nice sale at the moment, get it if you like adventure games.

But if you don't want that then wait for a sale, buying things from steam that aren't on sale is mostly a waste.
