Well, I was able to raise $60. I was hoping for more but I was also dreading less. All in all, I'm happy. Like Anya said, more prep time and promotion next year. I received an email stating that a grand total of $411,291 was raised from the entire event! Thats amazing!

Now for some sleep...

So getting to bed last night was super easy. I was so exhausted that I don't even remember laying in bed. My wife wanted to stay up but I just couldn't do it.

That was the first time I've ever played WoW for 24 hours straight. I had to thank my in-laws throughout the day for helping with the babies, too. My wife and I started out as humans on our normal server. We could both do all the starting quests with our eyes closed so we breezed through everything. I posted my stream and donation links on www.mmo-champion.com's forums and got a good bit of hits. I had as many as 13 viewers on my ustream channel at once with a total of 550+ views through the 24 hours. If only every person donated $1 I also had a macro in game that posted my cause and link to my ustream (since the donation link was too long). I'd say 2/3s of everyone I came across thought I was a scammer... Thats what the WoW economy has become from all the gold farmers and key loggers spamming their crap all day. But I got a few hits from that so it worked out after all.

I got through the first 18-20 hours no problem. It was 2am when I first started noticing that I was really getting tired. My eyes were getting droopy and hard to keep open when I was doing mundane things like running from A to B or taking a flight path. Luckily I had gotten some sunflower seeds and they are amazing at keeping your mind busy. If you keep them tucked in the side of your cheek and crack the shells in your mouth! That worked until about 4am and even then the effects started to wear off, my eyes started to shut on their own again. My wife had gone to bed around 3am since she had to get up to feed the babies and then go to her hair appointment. I put on my headphones, cranked it up as loud as I thought was safe not to wake her, and then put on as heavy and fast of music I could find. That did the trick for the rest of the time. I just hit level 40 at hour 23 and decided that was it. The event was over at 6am my time anyway. So I got to a safe spot, logged off and then made some posts about the email I mentioned above. Their website actually said they raised $417,291!
