I've noticed a lot of stray kitties around here. Sometimes they'll come up to me and meow. Aww, so cute

In metro Detroit, there were often squirrels around, and near Buffalo we had those as well as chipmunks and little brown bunnies.

My cats are outside cats, so they are all over the neighborhood. As for wildlife, its virtually absent in the Las Vegas area. Going far outside of the city you can sometimes see coyotes, road runners, burros, and lots of snakes and insects. There are some desert hares and tortoises, too but those aren't as common. Especially the tortoises. If you see one, you're not supposed to touch it and if its on a road you can't drive past it until a ranger or animal control comes to properly move it.

You have bunnies around your house? That's amazing Kerli. I wish I had cool animals around my house. All I have are squirrels, raccoons, and birds.

Bats. Lots and lots of bats. I have no idea where they came from, but they appeared one summer day in absolutely ridiculous numbers and every effort the city has made to get rid of them has failed miserably.

My home out in the countryside... There's been a brown bear, raccoons, deer, dogs, chipmunks etc. The neighbors say they saw a mountain lion too, but I doubt that.

Yay for suburbia; squirrels, raccoons and skunks.

Bird-wise... lots of sparrows, pigeons, grackles... a few crows and robins too. Take a walk down to the river and you might be lucky enough to see herons. Oh, and we have PLENTY of gulls...

I live in the suburbs. Cats, bunnies, squirrels, a ton of canadian geese (seriously they've about taken over the state), ducks, dogs, opossums, raccoons, deer, bees, mosquitoes, ants, spiders, brown recluse spiders, flies, gnats et all, monarch butterflies, ladybugs (there was a a year when EVERYWHERE was infested with those orange ladybugs that bite ), and lately, bedbugs. Several cities including mine are in the middle of a really bad bedbug epidemic. Oh and of course birds, mainly morning doves, robins, cardinals, crows, geese as I've already mentioned, falcons, hawks, starlings, pigeons, and finches. Occasionally I've seen red-winged black birds too, and around the zoo you can find chipmunks. We're also supposed to have snakes around here, but I've never seen one out in wild, and occasionally you can find bats.

Lots of squirrels, pigeons, and nasty yellow slugs. Sometimes around the house, if you look under stuff, you'll find some red-backed salamanders. Those are really cute. :3

Rabbits, squirrels, and various types of birds. Nothing too out of the ordinary.

My mother says she saw a fox once, though.

In terms of mammals, we don't get much aside from the occasional squirrel. (My cat was a stray found somewhat close to my house, though.)

In terms of birds, we get a fair amount of finches, an occasional family of quails, and these owls which are heard but never seen.

In terms of reptiles, we have a lot of lizards, some of which are skinks, but that's it.

In terms of everything else, we have ants, snails, beetles, antlions, moths, butterflies, praying mantises, cicadas, grasshoppers, crickets, spiders, bees, and a bunch of creatures so small that I haven't bothered to identify them.

Neighbourhood cats, magpies (annoying noisy ballsy birds), some ducks in a nearby river. Occasional deer. Saw a herd of deer running through town once.

How could I forget butterflies! There's a park here with an attraction called Butterfly World and I'm less than five minutes from the butterfly capital of the world. I tend to see some nice ones when I got to the park and when I ride my bike to work.

This big cat that keeps on trying to get into my grandmother's house.

I did manage to shoo it away by saying "shoo!" though.

Mostly just squirrels and bunnies around here. We also have Owls, but they're typically heard, not seen.

While out at parks and whatnot, I've seen a fox, skunk, and mouse, as well as a multitude of turtles. They seem to like a local creek, and some can always be seen sitting on logs in the right season.

Best way to express anger to a cat is to go PSSHT like you're mimicking the sound of a pop can opening. Like a hiss but harsher and more sudden. They'll stop.
