Being in the big leagues of private trackers and such, the recent outbreak of MediaDefender emails has begun to take its toll on me. Apparently they found all kinds of bugs in uTorrent and other programs that allowed them to get past certain protections and such, and apparently they had accounts on sites such as Blackcats, Oink, (insert private tracker). So now I'm beginning to worry. Besides running PeerGuardian2, what other methods of protection are there? I run uTorrent latest version, and I know some of you must have some ideas that I could use.

Yea I heard about that one on DSL reports the other day when I was testing the bandwidth of a wireless burntable...

Additionally, it looks like there's follow-ups to the story with The Pirate Bay counter-charging for 'commercial hacking and spamming, commercial level infrastructural sabotage and commercial level denial of service attacks'.

I couldn't tell you of other protections...but I figured this issue might get big within a few days time.
