Should we get a random number generator, or would a pseudorandom number generator work as well?

Fun fact: A random number generator on the Commodore 64 was rather bad. Trying to get a number from 1 to 1000 usually resulted in only every 4th number ever being selected. It wasn't the system's only RNG, however, but many amateur programmers used it, not knowing of this flaw.
