I don't mind the term used in conjunction with cell phones and mobile devices. When people refer to apps for computers... its called a program or an application. Not sure why I'm picky about it since app is an abbreviation of application.

I don't see why this is anything to get upset over.

The article claims that this would mean saying...

...would allow Apple to sue you for copyright infringement, but do you really think that Apple would do this?
Even if you're against Apple, it shouldn't be too hard to tell that such a thing is far too absurd to actually happen.

Clearly, this was done to keep those blatant rip-offs from continuing to pop up, which is hardly a big deal.

I couldn't agree more myself, and it seems that more and more words are becoming Psuedo-English; "legit" is just another example of the dumbness at work. -.-
