lol, I haven't even gotten all of the places in Scribblenauts. I should probably get on that, but yea, Super Scribblenauts is going to be awesome. I didn't think they could top the first one when it came out because it was the first sandbox game where you could pretty much make anything and they would interact accordingly, but apparently the developers are great at their jobs!

I don't think I got past the third or fourth board in Scribblenauts.

I never got past the title screen.

I'm still going to get Super Scribblenauts though.

My poor backlog.

I wonder if it is NOT a good thing for me to have my headphones on, even at around 25%?

I talked to someone who worked at a factory with ambient noise who wore earplugs all the time, and it took about 6 months until his hearing was 100%.

You might find this interesting ... I was actually reading about this just a few hours ago: http://www.cnn.com/2010/OPINION/10/10/treasure.sound/

I have my headphones at 2% for most things during the day, and 1% at night when it gets quiet. I only turn it up higher if I'm listening to something unusually quiet.

#55
I use headphones almost every day since about 10 years, usually fairly loud, and I don't feel my hearing has gotten worse in that time (yet) ...

But my hearing was never that great anyway, I can barely hear anything above 5-10kHz (something like 48kbps MP3 is "good" quality to me, since I can't even tell the difference from higher bitrates)

Ever since I was a kid, I would always listen to my headphones at max volume.

I never have them on max volume except on the subway; that's mainly because I can't hear the music over the noise.

I've discovered that, over time, I've tended to prefer my headphones to be at slightly louder volumes

It's annoying when a computer audio source is still rather quiet even at maximum volume.

I usually have my music in general at really quiet volume. I can hear it the same and forget about the difference after a while.
There are exceptions when say, it's a particular song that is so awesome that it needs to be higher. Then I gradually go lower.

Unfortunately, right now my computer has the sound stuck at a volume too high for me as its lowest (that will most likely break the sound device), so no quiet music for now.

I can't use in-ear headphones because they make my wax stay inside my ears and clog up. I had to buy over ear ones for work so that didn't happen. I used to listen to music all the time on my iPod but now I only turn on something occasionally. I use headphones a lot at home, a nice surround ones that cover my entire ear. They have microfabric on the sides and they're really comfortable for those long gaming sessions.

I love listening to my headphones. If I'm home alone and I want to clean or write, I do better with headphones on.

My headphones are old, so my laptop doesn't play nice with them. Anything more than the lowest notch (6%) is too much for my ears, and even then it still hurts. Of course, every time I plug in the headphone, it resets to 50%. I try to be careful when I lower the volume so that it doesn't damage it or something.

Well, now that I've got my awesome new headphones that I bought (with my own money ), I've started to listen to Linkin Park on full volume. It's loud enough so that it drowns out EVERYTHING, but nobody but me hears it

I don't like when people have their headphones so loud that I can hear them. Especially in high school, when it was almost always metal, emo, grunge, or another genre I had little tolerance for.

I pretty much just use my speakers almost all the time, since I don't feel like going to the back of the computer and plugging my headphones in (the front jack sucks on my computer =/)
