Nevadans are between a rock and a hard place. One side you want to get rid of incumbents (well, most people do). On the other, you have people that definitely don't seem competent enough to run this country. I'm sure we're not the only state. I should vote for local officials and Senate/House races but I'm too lazy and just stick to the big one every 4 years...

The anti-incumbency is just a bunch of nutjob bagger issues... especially when you actually look at them and all you see is how much worse the "new" people are.

Of course it should be obvious I'm voting pretty much straight D this year (Remove the DoE? Seriously? Why is that such a grand idea among these retards?!) ... but even my grandparents (who are "democrats" in the sense that they are actually republicans) are even voting for Reid, since Angle is too crazy even for them. And these are the people who think Obama's a socialist Muslim Kenyan non-president.

If things are going so bad for Angle, I can't help but wonder why is she doing so well in the polls? Nate Silver gives her a 56% chance of winning, although a new poll from CNN (registered voters) has Reid with an 11 point lead. Maybe those polls polling 'likely voters' are off?

I really hope all those tea baggers lose ...

Looking at Sharron Angle's Wikipedia article, yeah, she's pretty much the opposite of me politically. Privatizing Social Security and Medicare? How are the elderly supposed to afford healthcare, which they tend to need a lot of? Do they have to have worked decades at high-paying jobs that give them enough pension money or have lots of biological children who are making money, then? What about this bad economy, the fact that some people are childless, and the fact that others are self-employed or didn't work with 1 company for enough years? Sheesh. If you ask me, everyone should have the basic right to affordable healthcare. None of this expensive insurance with help mostly coming from full-time employers.

To give you some context, back when Sue Lowden (also known as "that chickens for checkups lady") was the favorite to win, Harry Reid was polling at about 25%. As in, 75%-25%, total loss.

It's close now, but when you know the context -- how many people really wanted Harry gone -- you can see just how bad Mangle is.

I personally believe anyone who is anti-abortion in the case of rape seriously needs to just be doused in gasoline and lit on fire.
