Yeah I like this trailer a lot better than the older one. I hope this movie turns out as good as it looks!

Now I definitely need to re-read the last book cause I barely knew what the hell was going on in that trailer. Looks awesome, though!

Actually I think its better seeing these things when you barely remember the books. That way, you'll still know enough about what's going on as you see it, but you won't really be making direct comparisons between how the film did things differently than the book. I can't wait for this thing! Book 7 was my favorite, and it looks like they are turning it into a massive serious epic!

Well, its not going to be in 3D after all. Which is fine by me, if it wasn't filmed with 3D cameras or isn't 100% CG then it shouldn't be released in 3D.

So I just saw this, and just to let you know, this movie isn't nearly as fast paced as the trailer leads you to believe. Don't get me wrong though. If you love the books, you'll love the film, and you will definitely be sucked into Harry Potter world for two and a half hours. It's just that this movie definitely feels like two and a half hours.

It's probably because this movie's main goal, aside from being a decent book to movie adaptation, seems to be realism rather than "epicness". In fact, epic is the last word I would use to describe this. This is not an "epic" movie. It's more of a dramatic thriller that focuses more on realism and emotion than action. The movie makes you feel exactly what it would have been like to be desperately trying to finish what dumbledore started while everything around you is being destroyed or turned against you, and you yourself have little to no hope of survival. It's not fun being in that position especially if you are only 17, have no idea what you are doing, and all of your friends are dying. This movie does not glorify anything into the "epic horcurx hunt" or the "ultimate battle between Harry Potter and Voldemort". Instead this movie throws you into a real ass battle and shows you just how horrifying everything really is.

If you are someone who's never read the books or has only seen the films, the pacing will probably bore you to tears, and it isn't the best film ever made. However, if you are like me and have read the books, it's an interesting take, it's a good adaptation, it will keep you interested, and you'll enjoy it. Just don't expect the fast paced action epic you might expect from the preview.

Saw it at midnight, after work, on Thursday (going into Friday). Very slow but by the time it gets to the end, you don't want it to stop.

I saw it tonight and enjoyed it. I like it better than the previous three movies.
