| Interpretation 1: I'm not a palette swap! According to the manual, I'm the regular type of Snifit. The other Snifits are a palette swap of me!

They aren't really different enemies, and if I recall correctly, they got rid of those silly green robes by the time the remake came around. (Which makes it interesting that you found one that was still wearing it, but, whatever.) Anyway, I normally don't like the idea of keeping my kind locked up, but since this guy can only jump in place, he's actually much more mobile now that he's in a cage.
