Yep. There doesn't seem to be another Seattle anywhere

I used to live in Lexington, Michigan, which shared a name with cities and villages in Kentucky, Massachusetts, Virginia, Illinois, etc. People often thought that I was in Kentucky when I was there I was kind of surprised that there seems to be only 1 Southfield (a suburb of Detroit I lived in for a while) though, given how generic the name is.

Any thoughts? Do people think you're from elsewhere from the city name? Is there another Seattle somewhere?

As far as I know, there are a few other cities named Philadelphia.

Of course, I happen to live pretty much in the biggest one.

Medford. I'm aware that there's one in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Florida, aside from the one in Oregon.

They intentionally cloned where I live in Texas, but I'm not giving specifics as I don't give that info out most of the time.

Most people don't know there is actually a Las Vegas, NM. Not until they try to book a flight by typing in just Las Vegas. Then it asks you to select one.

There's a Buffalo, Wyoming.

I know because my dad had a poster about Wyoming that mentioned Buffalo on I-90. I was confused, because we lived near Buffalo, New York, at the time, and that's also on I-90

I'm about three or four hours north of there. Doubt there's another place with the same name.

With a name like "Albuquerque", you would think that there would be no other place with such a name.

...And you would be right, but it is named after a small town in Spain called "Alburquerque."

Pretty much nobody gets the former confused with the latter, but I imagine it would be problematic to try and talk about the latter without people getting confused with the former, though.

According to Wikipedia, there is not other town named Evergreen Park, and I am happy there.

Though there's literally about 50 different Parks or Lawn named areas around the city. Lincoln Park, West Lawn, Oak Park, Oak Lawn, Forest Park, Orland Park, Palos Park, etc., etc. So the name isn't really that special in the area.

Give it back!

I moved to California when I was six. So it's no longer in my possession, I'm afraid.

There's a few Montréal's in France as well as two in Missouri and Wisconsin. And there's a castle by that name in Jordan according to Wikipedia. Right then.

My area used to be a part of the city of Fairfax, but the residents decided for some undetermined reason that they didn't want to be a part of the city so they broke away from it and donned the name Fairfax Station. I am pretty sure we are the only Fairfax Station.
