| YouTube won't take it? Hmm, well what are the following for the video you're trying to upload: file type (extension, such as avi), video codec, audio codec, framerate, and aspect ratio? If you're not sure what any of these are Media Info can tell you (provided it can read the file format). |

| It's an avi and I doubled the framerate to 120, hoping that would "trick" YouTube when it converts it down to 30 and keep the blur effect visible. The rest of that information I'd have to look up. |

| As far as I know YouTube just discards frames until it hits 30 fps. |

 | | | | | Well, this is interesting. The following text, located at offset 0x3ABC4 in the Japanese ROM:
NAK1989 S-CG-CADVer1.22 9b0.26
...can also be found in Super Mario All-Stars, except there it's "Ver1.23."
"S-CG-CAD" sounds like the name of a drawing program to me. Nintendo's official tile editor, perhaps?

S(uper)-C(olor)G(raphics)-C(omputer)A(ided)D(design)?
The official nintendo docs refer to the 5A22 as the "S-CPU", so they share the same prefix there, as well. Not to mention it calls the palette ram CG-RAM.

Yeah, that's the reason I increased it from 60 to 120. When I uploaded the original video at 60 FPS, there was no evidence of the blur effect when YouTube was done processing it.

| I was wondering what the end goal of 120 fps was. Although I haven't tried it myself there's a demonstration of how to get Virtual Dub to blend frames and achieve a 60 fps look at 30 fps here. |

Variants of that string can be found in several other games as well:
Super Scope 6 (U) NAK1989 S-CG-CADVer1.02 910320 F
Super Scope 6 (J) NAK1989 S-CG-CADVer1.02 910802 F
Yoshi's Cookie (U) NAK1989 S-CG-CADVer1.10 920616
Mother 2 (J)/Earthbound (U) NAK1989 S-CG-CADVer1.11 930511 F
Satellaview BIOS NAK1989 S-CG-CADVer1.11 9305
Of course, this is by no means an all-inclusive list.
For most of the games, the digits after the version number oddly resemble a date in yymmdd format. Build dates for the program, perhaps?

VirtualDub just happens to be what I've been using to edit the video, but I don't see any place to change those settings that are mentioned under that video's description. I see nothing that says "linear blending" or "interpolation mode". I'll keep digging...
Edit: N/M. Found it under the Filters. |

Success!
Except the embed isn't working yet. I'll add the video the wiki once it is. |

| An easter egg was found at the end of stages. If the ship speed is exactly 333 when the Area Clear message appears, you are rewarded with an extra life. |

BTW, does anyone know an "FFCrono" from GameFAQs?
http://www.gamefaqs.com/features/recognition/50943.html?type=2
This guy appears to have a history of stealing codes from TCRF shortly after they've been posted and putting them on GameFAQs without crediting the source. I remember submitting some codes from Nintendo Power to GameFAQs years ago and back then there was a field on the submission form to credit your source. It looks like that's been taken out, because none of my old submissions show the source anymore like this:
http://www.gamefaqs.com/snes/588307-equinox/cheats
The way I found out about this is that I remembered seeing a "Level Select" code for HyperZone several years ago on some cheat site, but I could never get it to work. I was wondering if someone could verify that it does work and maybe I'm just entering it wrong, and when I went to look up the code, I was shocked to see that "3D Mode" code already there.
I guess there's nothing that can be done about it, but man does it piss me off.
Anyway, there's the supposed "Level Select" code:
http://www.gamefaqs.com/snes/588381-hyperzone/cheats
At the title screen press B, B, L, R, Left, Left, Select. Now you can push up to change levels.
When I push "Up" after entering that, all it does is move the cursor between "Start" and "Normal". |

I was also about to ask if it's a bogus code. I had no luck with it either. Maybe it's for the Japanese or PAL version? I didn't see any other button code compares in the title screen for the US version. |

Oops! I didn't realize that FFCrono was you. Sorry about that.
I guess the one problem with being a Flying Omelette is that occasionally, you will have egg on your face.
As for the level select code, I never thought to try it on the Japanese or PAL versions. I'll give it a go and find out.

That level select code doesn't seem to work on the PAL or Japanese versions, either. I think it's fake.

Man, that is hard to do, but I managed it on Area 3:
It also seems like Lolo takes up extra spaces in memory wherever and whenever he's needed to:

Geez, I thought I was done with this game, but..
Unused background tiles in the Bio Plant stage. Guess it really was going to have a more "organic" theme at some point.
Those are loaded with the sprites for the first boss. Seems it was maybe supposed to shoot miniature versions of itself at you? But it just shoots normal bullets.
NM: Those are used for the second time you fight that boss in Level 6. They're attached to its spokes. |
