NES, 1987 (I think), Super Mario Bros. (obviously). Randomly obtained in the summer, actually.

First 3rd party games I played were Lode Runner (bought) and Ghosts n' Goblins (borrowed). I made it to Level 3 in the latter *BEFORE* I started kindergarten. *THAT* is an accomplishment in itself.

I think it was 1993 or 1994 I got my NES, actually. My cousin's father gave it to us after he got a SNES.

N64 came in 1999, too. I was hoping for a Dreamcast, but shit, the N64 was pretty good too. I don't get why people were endlessly saying it was doomed and taking the same fate as the Saturn at some point.

I think my sister got me into playing video games at a very young age. Possibly at 2, most likely 3.

Earliest memory that I have playing video games is at age 4.

I learned the alphabet with the help of video games

I played Below the Root for C64 and SMB1 for NES pretty early. Probably at age 3 or 4, if not earlier. I played Qix, Centipede, and Ms. Pac-Man way early, too. And a video-game adaptation of Classic Concentration, but I didn't understand it, so it was more my mom who was actually playing the game instead of me

I remember watching my brothers play Duck Hunt and Super Mario Brothers and next I was playing Super Mario World and Super Metroid. We had Final Fantasy II but I didn't get to play it much.

I believe I remember my sister playing Super Mario Land before she lost it for several years in her closet. But she got me playing Super Mario All-Stars, Super Mario World, and Aladdin. Of course I was a little asshole and kept deleting save files until I was about 6 or 7, when I realize they really didn't like that (my sister and dad). Luckily there were always three or four save slots, so I just put my saves in one of them per game.

Then they sorta stopped playing the SNES, and for a while I kept their files safe in case they wanted to play again.

I remember playing Zelda and I hated it.

Is that the real FF2 or FF4?

I love Zelda. Should be expected as I'm (sort of) 1 of the ex-PureZC people We got Zelda 1 for the NES in around 1993. Which one did you try, Anya?

I actually played through all of LTTP in about 6 hours in one sitting (segmented due to dinner, but still in one session nonetheless)

I did that with SMB3 for no-warp marathons lasting several hours. I'd use the Game Genie to start at whichever world I wanted to lengthen or shorten the game.

I still need to play FF2. I've had it forever and haven't touched it.

We had it on the SNES so it was called FF2 which is FF4.

Yeah, can't blame you too much there. The later games get much better than that, though.

Anya: What about the third, LttP?
Don't go and turn into my nephew about it, though.

I don't see why so many people liked it. Some of the puzzels were bullshit because you had to basically touch everything you saw, and the gameplay wasn't that fun.

Actually, I'm not a fan of any of the Zelda games.
